Director Statement

For Sale was the result of an overly ambitious week.

It was finals week at the university I attend - and I decided to shoot two short films with minimal crew and no dialogue for each project. One of the projects premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival. I held this movie close to my chest, waiting for the right time to release it onto the festival circuit.

Micro shorts are valuable. The traditional short film is certainly longer than 1:47, but For Sale's strengths are in its succinctness. It was an exercise in restraint and adaptation - a venture I know to be successful. If you can tell a story in one minute, you can be trusted with ninety to tell a complete, full one.
