Fiona Kida is a Tanzanian-American writer/director from Nashville, now based in Los Angeles. She graduated from USC majoring in Film & TV Production, has worked as an Associate Producer at Google’s Creative Lab in NYC, exec Assistant at Media Res, Front Desk at Annapurna, and interned at Bad Robot, NBCUniversal, and Pixomondo. She’s produced shorts that have screened at 25+ international film festivals and been nominated for a student Emmy in writing and directing.
She currently works as a Writer's Assistant on S3 & S4 of Bridgerton (Netflix). In the past year, she's written a romcom feature, short script, and 2 pilots. Her first feature got into the 2nd round of Sundance’s 2021 Development Track. She won the 2021 WAVE Grant to produce her short script “Blue Hour” that year as well, which she produced, directed, and composed the music for the as well. Her passion is to telling stories about messy minority women striving for more.
