“Film Summer” Festival is a project to inspire young viewers to be creative, attentive and explore the cinematic world - not only as viewers, but also as future creators. As the event's motto says, inspired by the words of Sir Ken Robinson - “Creativity is as important as learning to write and read.” Each activity will be rooted in a specific film - becoming a starting point for conversations about the world, emotions and surrounding reality. The program will include film workshops for children and young people on such topics as the creation of animation, the secrets of film music or the creation of sets. There will be attractive film screenings - including premieres - and meetings with filmmakers on the occasion. Viewers will have the opportunity to experience films dealing with important topics.

Festiwal „Filmowe lato” to projekt, który ma inspirować młodych widzów do kreatywności, uważności i odkrywania filmowego świata – nie tylko jako odbiorców, ale i przyszłych twórców. Jak mówi motto wydarzenia, inspirowane słowami sir Kena Robinsona – „Kreatywność jest tak samo ważna jak nauka pisania i czytania”. Każde działanie będzie zakorzenione w konkretnym filmie – stając się punktem wyjścia do rozmów o świecie, emocjach i otaczającej rzeczywistości. W programie znajdą się warsztaty filmowe dla dzieci i młodzieży m.in. dotyczące tworzenia animacji, tajników muzyki filmowej czy kreowania scenografii. Nie zabraknie atrakcyjnych pokazów filmowych – w tym premier – a przy okazji spotkań z twórcami. Widzowie będą mieli okazję doświadczyć filmów poruszających ważne tematy.

Awards & Prizes

Awards in “Film Summer” Festival Short Film Competition:
1. The Main Prize in the Competition is:
- PLN 500 and in-kind prizes in the Best Short 7+ category (award to the Director of the film),
- PLN 500 and in-kind awards in the Best Short 14+ category (award to the Director of the film).
2. The Main Jury has the option to award special prizes in both categories.

Nagrody w Konkursie filmów krótkometrażowych Festiwalu „Filmowe lato”
1. Nagrodą Główną w Konkursie jest:
- 500 PLN oraz nagrody rzeczowe w kategorii Najlepszy Film 7+ (nagroda dla Reżysera filmu),
- 500 PLN oraz nagrody rzeczowe w kategorii Najlepszy Film 14+(nagroda dla Reżysera filmu).
2. Jury Główne ma możliwość przyznania wyróżnień specjalnych w obu kategoriach.

§ 1. COMPETITION CALENDAR
1. Opening of the call for applications for the Competition – 29.05.2025.
2. Closing of the call for entries – 18.06.2025, 23:59 (UTC+2).
3. Selection of competition films by the Selection Committee – 18-22.06.2025.
4. Notification of Participants by FilmFreeway about the final selection made by the Organizer and feedback from the Participant with upholding the decision of further participation in the Festival – 23-26.06.2025.
5. Publication on the Organizer's website of the full list of films that will participate in the Competition – 27.06.2025.
6. Screening of Competition films during the Festival – 11-13.07.2025.
7. Announcement of the winners of the Competition – 13.07.2025.

§ 2. TERMS OF PARTICIPATION AND PAYMENT
1. Entry of a film to the Festival is made exclusively through the FilmFreeway service and is free of charge.
2. Submitting a film is not a guarantee of getting into the Competition.
3. Films submitted to the Competition do not have to have a national/international premiere status. The Organizer will consider each submission regardless of the film's festival history.
4. Films submitted to the Competition should have been produced after January 1, 2021.
5. In case of postponement or cancellation of the current edition of the Festival, the Organizer will automatically invite the qualified film to the next edition of the Festival. Rights holders who do not agree to this have the right to withdraw the film from the Competition if they inform the Organizer within four weeks after the announcement of the postponement/cancellation of the Festival.
6. Music videos and commercial films may not participate in the Competition.

1. Otwarcie naboru zgłoszeń do Konkursu – 29.05.2025 r.
2. Zakończenie naboru – 18.06.2025 r., 23:59 (UTC+2).
3. Selekcja filmów konkursowych przez Komisję Selekcyjną – 18–22.06.2025 r.
4. Powiadomienie Uczestników przez FilmFreeway o finałowej selekcji przeprowadzonej przez Organizatora oraz informacja zwrotna od Uczestnika z podtrzymaniem decyzji dalszym o uczestnictwie w Festiwalu - 23-26.06.2025 r.
5. Publikacja na stronach internetowych Organizatora pełnej listy filmów, które wezmą udział w Konkursie – 27.06.2025 r.
6. Projekcje filmów konkursowych podczas Festiwalu –11-13.07.2025 r.
7. Ogłoszenie zwycięzców Konkursu – 13.07.2025 r.

§ 2.
WARUNKI UCZESTNICTWA ORAZ PŁATNOŚCI
1. Zgłoszenie filmu na Festiwal odbywa się wyłącznie przez serwis FilmFreeway i jest bezpłatne.
2. Zgłoszenie filmu nie jest gwarancją dostania się do Konkursu.
3. Filmy zgłoszone do Konkursu nie muszą posiadać statusu premiery krajowej/międzynarodowej. Organizator rozpatrzy każde zgłoszenie niezależnie od historii festiwalowej filmu.
4. Filmy zgłoszone do Konkursu powinny być wyprodukowane po 1 stycznia 2021 r.
5. W przypadku przełożenia lub odwołania bieżącej edycji Festiwalu, Organizator automatycznie zaprosi zakwalifikowany film na kolejną edycję Festiwalu. Posiadacze praw, którzy nie wyrażą na to zgody, mają prawo wycofania filmu z Konkursu, jeśli poinformują Organizatora w ciągu czterech tygodni po ogłoszeniu przełożenia/anulowania Festiwalu.
6. W Konkursie nie mogą brać udziału teledyski oraz filmy reklamowe.
