We strive to make Dallas synonymous with Film through feature-quality motion pictures, talented visionaries, and the development of stories worth telling. The DFA’s vision in a few words, we want Film in Dallas.

The purpose of the Annual Film Premiere is to provide recognition for short films made in the Dallas area and the creators of those films. The Annual Film Premiere is also the largest fundraiser for the DFA. All proceeds of the Annual Premiere will go to support the Dallas Filmmaker’s Alliance’s educational and networking programs in the Dallas film community.

Your contribution supports:
Educational programs with the City of Dallas
Educational events for filmmakers in pre-production, production, and post-production

Film Industry networking events

DFA Annual Premiere Highlights:

Many of our filmmakers and talent come from diverse backgrounds with unique stories to tell and some have even gained the spotlight in local newspapers. With this momentum, we want to continue to increase the opportunities we create in the city of Dallas.

This event is an exclusive one-day-only event, meaning not all submissions will be selected to be screened. This event sold out the largest theatre room last year in 2018 at the Angelika Film Center in Dallas. Just like in previous premieres, all selections will be screened in a single theater, so each attendee will be able to see your film, meaning more value for your film.

I had a film to play in the 2019 event and as a filmmaker I’m very pleased to say that this was a fantastic event. I especially enjoyed the intimate setting which made it easy to network. The organizers were very helpful and they even gave the filmmakers a free poster of our movie cover to take home with us. Overall, it was a stellar event and stellar organization. I’ll be submitting for next year’s festival too!
