We want to change the culture of film festivals worldwide and foster an invigorating and novel approach to how filmmakers and audiences’ approach both cinematic works of art, and the institution of film festivals as a whole.
Our carefully elected judging body consists of industry veterans that uphold our values in the same ways that we do. We ensure the thorough and fair evaluation of all films selected by our governing body to be screened in our festival. No matter the size and scale of the production, Frankfurt Film Festival has a strong appetite for films that approach cinema through the lens of originality, providing thought-provoking themes that will stimulate and inspire us all.
Frankfurt Film Festival is proud to feature international distribution representation and national press attendance, allowing filmmakers admitted into our festival to gain the valuable exposure they need to elevate themselves further in their cinematic artistic pursuits. As it stands, Frankfurt Film Festival is a must-attend cultural event for filmmakers and other industry professionals looking to expand their horizons and grow within the expanding film industry, and for curious audience members looking to enjoy vibrant, exciting new cinema.

The judges of the festival will carefully select the films to be nominated for awards, and create a selection of nominated films to be screened in front of the live audience.
Our festival offers the chance for filmmakers to be selected and awarded. Winners will receive a customised laurel, a winners pack that includes physical Certificate, trophy, and more goodies! Winners will also have the chance to have an exclusive interview with the team, free review, gift cards and there will also be some cash prizes awarded.
Once a year we will hold an annual ceremony screening with all the winners invited. This fantastic event will give filmmakers opportunities to watch their film on the big screen with a live audience as well as the opportunity for networking!
