Experiencing Interruptions?

Metamorphosis

Since the law that decriminalizes domestic violence was adopted in 2017, victims of abuse in Russia can't depend on help from the government. The only support provided to them comes from NGOs, small amount of existing shelters, independent women rights activists and women, who have experienced domestic abuse in the past. In our movie brave survivors of abusive relationships from all over the world (Russia, England, India, Armenia) tell their stories and share the ways of overcoming the psychological, physical, economical consequences of the domestic violence. They are not ashamed of the scars they are bearing. Their stories are very different, but they intersect at one point: "if you think that your relationship is abusive, run before it's too late".
Most of the times victim of domestic violence doesn't realize that she is dealing with abusive partner before the physical abuse starts. Our project aims to explain how to see the signs of abuse in partner relationship and how vitally important it is to leave such relationship immediately without waiting for partner to change for the better.
