Das Filmfestival Türkei Deutschland ist das deutschlandweit wichtigste Festival für den interkulturellen Dialog zwischen dem deutschen und türkischen Kino. Es präsentiert jedes Jahr Spiel-, Kurz- und Dokumentarfilme aus beiden Ländern, die dem Publikum einen einzigartigen Überblick über das aktuelle Filmschaffen in Deutschland und der Türkei bietet.

Türkiye / Almanya Film Festivali, iki ülke sinema sanatı arasında kültürlerarası diyaloğa hizmet eden Almanya çapındaki en önemli festival. Her yıl Türkiye ve Almanya’dan uzun metraj, kısa ve belgesel filmlere geniş bir platform sağlayan festival, bu sayede izleyicilere, iki ülke sinemasının güncel örneklerini benzeri olmayan geniş bir yelpazede sunuyor.

The festival is Germanys most important film festival for the intercultural dialogue between the cinemas of Turkey and Germany. It presents documentary, short and feature films of both countries.

Rules & Terms

The FFTD accepts short films, documentaries and feature films to be shown in one of our three sections "Short Film Competition" (up to 25 Minutes), "Feature Film Competition" and the non-competitive section "Filmlandschaften". The Filmlandschaften are also the home of medium-length films with a length between 25 and 69 Minutes - regardless of whether it is a documentary or a fictional film.

The festival addresses mainly german and turkish filmmakers. Films from filmmakers with other backgrounds or residences than Turkey and Germany are welcome if their films deal with intercutural subjects or the subject of migration to and from Turkey and Germany.
