UPWard International Student Film Festival is an annual event organized by the Dramatic Arts Department at the Faculty of Arts, University of Prishtina. The festival is dedicated to promoting student cinema and supporting emerging filmmakers from around the world.

Rules & Terms

1. Eligibility
UPWard International Student Film Festival accepts films created by students or emerging filmmakers. Proof of student status may be requested.
2. Categories
The festival accepts short films, documentaries, animations, and experimental films.
3. Duration
Films must not exceed 30 minutes (including credits).
4. Production Date
Films must have been completed within the last 2 years prior to the submission deadline.
5. Subtitles
All non-English films must include English subtitles.
6. Submission Format
Films must be submitted via FilmFreeway using an online screener (Vimeo, FilmFreeway link, etc.).
7. Entry Fees
Submission fees are non-refundable.
8. Selection Process
All films will be reviewed by a selection committee. Selected films will be notified via FilmFreeway.
9. Screening Rights
By submitting, filmmakers grant the festival the right to screen their film during the festival event in Prishtina.
10. Promotion
The festival may use excerpts, stills, trailers, and posters for promotional purposes (online, social media, press).
11. Responsibility
The submitter is responsible for all copyrights, music rights, and permissions related to the film.
12. Multiple Entries
Multiple submissions are allowed, but each film must be submitted separately.
13. Final Decision
The decision of the festival selection committee and jury is final.
14. Agreement
By submitting to the festival, the applicant agrees to all the rules and terms stated above.
