TRÂNSITO is an LGBT+ film showcase based in Pelotas, Brazil.
The name Transito refers to the right of bodies to move, exist, and occupy spaces. The festival celebrates LGBTQ+ stories and filmmakers committed to creating works around these themes.

The showcase is divided into three sections — International, National (Brazilian), and Regional (Rio Grande do Sul) — in order to embrace both local and global perspectives in cinema.

Through film screenings, talks, debates, and cultural activities, TRÂNSITO promotes inclusion, respect, diversity, and human rights, strengthening the local community and contributing to a more just, equal, and welcoming society.

All films submitted to TRANSITO LGBT+ Film Showcase must be directed and/or produced by at least one LGBTQ+ person and must include LGBTQ+ themes as part of the storyline.

Films submitted to the International Showcase must not have been previously screened in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Films submitted to the National Brazilian Showcase and the Gaucho Showcase do not need to be premieres.

By submitting a film, the applicant confirms that they hold all necessary rights and authorizations for the film to be screened at the festival. Selected films authorize TRANSITO to use images, posters, trailers, excerpts, and press materials for promotional purposes related to the event.

Submission to the festival implies full acceptance of these Rules & Terms.
