Neatly tucked into the inaugural Wailuku Film Festival, Fuzz Flix Fringe Fest, will be a late-night circus of pink gorillas and short films.

This is an opportunity to showcase your fanciful, farcical, queer, bizarro, crazy, curious, eccentric, erratic, far out, funky, funny, kinky, kookie, off-the-wall, offbeat, out-of-the-way, outlandish, outré, peculiar, quant, quirky, screwy, spaced-out, wacky (and also whackie), weird and wild short films at the Wailuku Film Festival (taking place on the island of Maui).

We celebrate the bizarre, the bold and the beautifully unhinged.

We are egalitarian… All weirdos welcome. Your prize is to be included in the festival ;-)

Rules & Terms

Types of shorts: underground; weird; fascinating; off-beat; misfit flicks; dramatic; funny; experimental; documentary; narrative...anything goes. The weirder the better.

Runtime: Ten minutes or less. Some leeway given for exceptional eleven minute + films.
Final, completed films (no rough cuts): a polished, final version, fully edited, sound mixed, colored, subtitled (if non-english) & credits. The film submitted will be the film shown.

If your film is longer than ten minutes, make us a trailer and we might run it.

● File container: .mov or .mp4
● Compression codec: h.264 or Pro Res LT
● Digital Resolution: 1920x1080
● Aspect Ratio: Films will be shown on a 16:9 aspect ratio screen. Your aspect ratio should
fit within that.
● Audio: two-channel, stereo audio.
● Subtitles: baked-in if needed.
