Since 2014, Film Club's Lost Weekend has brought world-class films and featured guests to the picturesque Shenandoah Valley. Live screenings take place over four days with all films screened theatrically at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. Some of the 40+ guests from around the world have included notable filmmakers and actors such as Emilio Estevez (The Public), Ana Lily Amirpour (A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night), Lauren Adams (Greener Grass, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), and Whitney Call and Mallory Everton (Stop & Go). Over 500 films have played the festival, with an on-going focus on advance screenings and female filmmakers.

While no cash prizes are awarded, winners are selected by an audience vote. Winners are selected for shorts and features in a variety of categories including Best Film, Best Documentary, Best Ensemble Cast, Best Director, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Actor, and many more.
