AMURA – Altamura International Film Festival is an international festival born in Altamura, a city of stone, bread and community in Southern Italy.
AMURA celebrates cinema as a human and cultural act. We welcome films that explore identity, memory, social change, and the relationship between people and places.
We accept short films, feature films, and documentaries from around the world, with a special focus on independent cinema, emerging filmmakers, and works with a strong artistic voice.
AMURA is a space where films are not only screened, but truly listened to, creating a dialogue between the Mediterranean and the world.

AMURA celebra il cinema come atto umano e culturale. Accogliamo film che esplorano l’identità, la memoria, il cambiamento sociale e il rapporto tra le persone e i luoghi.
Accettiamo cortometraggi, lungometraggi e documentari provenienti da tutto il mondo, con una particolare attenzione al cinema indipendente, ai registi emergenti e alle opere con una forte voce artistica.
AMURA è uno spazio in cui i film non vengono solo proiettati, ma davvero ascoltati, creando un dialogo tra il Mediterraneo e il mondo.

Rules & Terms

1. All film submissions should be made digitally, not via DVD’s in the post. If you are unable/unwilling to use digital submission, please contact us and we’ll work something out.
2. Films which have been broadcast on Television, Cable or have had an international theatrical release prior to AMURA are NOT eligible for any competition but may be screened, out of competition.
3. Non-Italian language produced films must have English subtitles/Italian subtitles or be dubbed in English/Italian.
4. All entrants certify that they have been given full rights to use any and all music in their films.
5. Filmmakers or screenwriters accepted and are attending the festival are responsible for travel, lodging, and all other expenses.

Tutti i film devono essere inviati esclusivamente in formato digitale; non sono accettate spedizioni postali su DVD. Qualora non fosse possibile o non si desiderasse utilizzare l’invio digitale, vi invitiamo a contattarci e troveremo una soluzione alternativa.

I film che siano già stati trasmessi in televisione, su canali via cavo o che abbiano avuto una distribuzione cinematografica internazionale prima di AMÙRA non sono ammessi a nessuna competizione, ma potranno eventualmente essere proiettati fuori concorso.

I film realizzati in una lingua diversa dall’italiano devono essere sottotitolati in inglese o in italiano, oppure doppiati in inglese o in italiano.

Tutti i partecipanti dichiarano di essere in possesso dei pieni diritti di utilizzo di tutta la musica presente nei propri film.

I registi o sceneggiatori selezionati che partecipano al festival sono responsabili delle spese di viaggio, alloggio e di ogni altra spesa.
