Eligibility
- CJFF welcomes both U.S. and international entries.
- Films must have some element of Jewish themes, characters, and/or content. A film's creative team does not need to be Jewish themselves; nor is a Jewish creative team sufficient, on its own, to qualify the film for inclusion. We seek films that explore Jewish and/or Israeli identity, history, or culture, and that illuminate the wide range of Jewish identity, practice, and experience.
- Films in languages other than English must include English subtitles.
- Short films can be narrative, documentary, animated, experimental, or any combination of the above. Shorts should be less than 30 minutes.
- CJFF does not require premiere status. However, we will strongly consider films that are OH/Central OH premieres.
- Screeners should be submitted via FilmFreeway. Submission fees are non-refundable. Submission does not guarantee inclusion in the festival.
- By submitting a film to CJFF, applicants certify that they possess the legal rights to submit and exhibit the work, and accept full responsibility for any violation of rights or laws.
