Here it comes the thirs edition of Felice Film Festival!

Felice Film Festival is a magical box, a corner of Rome where cinema comes to life in all its most surprising forms. Promoted by the Collettivo Chuormo, this festival is a refuge for the bold, the dreamers, and the romantics who want to tell new, courageous stories. A stage for those not afraid to take risks, get their hands dirty with creativity, and break the routine of the usual narratives.
The Felice Film Festival is an opportunity to rediscover cinema as a collective experience that can move, provoke, and, why not, entertain. Each film will be a small big journey, a story worth telling. We want to give space to young filmmakers who have something new to say, who are not afraid of experimentation, and who, above all, still believe in the redemptive power of cinema.

The selected films will be screened in cinema in the vibrant heart of the Testaccio district, close to the Pyramid, in an environment that breathes creativity and culture. The movie will be screened in Greenwich Multisala, historical theater of the district. Furthermore Chuormo APS, the festival’s promoter, will host screening at its venue, creating an intimate and engaging atmosphere, inviting filmmakers to engage in direct dialogue with the audience. It will be an opportunity for authentic exchange, where stories and ideas blend in an atmosphere of mutual inspiration. Each film thus becomes a starting point for new visions, new adventures, in a place where the passion for cinema becomes tangible and alive, both on and off the screen.

In addition to the screenings and audience discussions, the festival days will be enriched by meetings, workshops, an awards ceremony, and a final party. We warmly invite the selected filmmakers to attend the screenings, and we look forward to sharing happy (and sometimes sad) films with you... in case we’ll dry our tears together! :)

Ritorna la terza edizione del Felice Film Festival!

Felice Film Festival è una scatola magica, un angolo di Roma dove il cinema prende vita in tutte le sue forme più sorprendenti. Promosso dal Collettivo Chuormo, questo festival è il rifugio degli audaci, dei sognatori e dei romantici che vogliono raccontare storie nuove, coraggiose, spesso fuori dagli schemi. Un palco per chi non ha paura di rischiare, di sporcarsi le mani con la creatività, di rompere la routine delle solite narrazioni.
Il Felice Film Festival è l’occasione per riscoprire il cinema come esperienza collettiva che sa emozionare, provocare e, perché no, divertire. Ogni film sarà un piccolo grande viaggio, una storia che merita di essere raccontata. Vogliamo dare spazio ai giovani cineasti che hanno qualcosa di nuovo da dire, che non temono la sperimentazione e che, soprattutto, credono ancora nel potere redentore del cinema.

I film selezionati verranno proiettati al cinema nel cuore pulsante del quartiere di Testaccio, vicino alla Piramide, in un ambiente che respira creatività e cultura. I film in selezione verranno proiettati al Greenwich Multisala, storico cinema del quartiere, e presso la sede di Chuormo APS, promotore del festival, in un’atmosfera intima e coinvolgente, invitando gli autori a dialogare direttamente con il pubblico. Sarà l’occasione per un confronto autentico, dove storie e idee si mescolano in un’atmosfera di scambio e ispirazione reciproca. Ogni film diventa così un punto di partenza per nuove visioni, nuove avventure, in un luogo dove la passione per il cinema si fa tangibile e viva, dentro e fuori lo schermo.

Oltre alle proiezioni e ai dibatti col pubblico, i giorni del festival saranno arricchiti da incontri, workshop, una serata di premiazione e una festa finale. Invitiamo caldamente i registi selezionati a presenziare alle proiezioni e vi aspettiamo per condividere insieme film felici (ma anche tristi)... nel caso ci asciugheremo insieme le lacrime :)

Rules & Terms

Felice Film Festival - Official Rules

1. Submission Process
All films must be submitted through the FilmFreeway platform. Only short films under 20 minutes in length will be considered for selection. Submissions in the following categories are accepted:
- Fiction Short
- Documentary Short
- Animation Short
- Experimental Short

2. Eligibility
The Felice Film Festival is open to filmmakers from all over the world. Films must be in their original format with English or Italian subtitles (no subtitles are needed if the film is in italian).

3. Selection Process
Films will be reviewed by the festival Selection Committee. The Selection Committee will select films for screening based on artistic quality and originality.

4. Special Mentions
In addition to the main awards, the Festival Jury may give special mentions to films that stand out in specific artistic areas, such as Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Actor, etc.

5. Audience Award
The public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite film among the selected films. The film with the most votes will receive the Audience Award, which will be announced during the award ceremony.

6. Awards
Winners of each category will receive a Best Film Award in their respective categories. All selected films will receive laurels and certificates via email. Physical prizes and certificates will be personally given to authors during the festival.

7. Screening
All selected films will be screened at the Felice Film Festival in Rome, at the event venue located at Piazza Santa Maria Liberatrice 36b, Testaccio.

8. Publicity
By submitting their film, filmmakers grant the Felice Film Festival permission to use their film's title, poster, trailer, and promotional materials on the festival website and social media platforms for promotional purposes.

9. Film Format
Films must be submitted in digital format (HD quality, 720p or higher).

10. Film Duration
Only short films with a maximum duration of 25 minutes are accepted. Films exceeding this length will not be considered.

11. Language
Films must have English or Italian subtitles. Films in other languages must provide subtitles in one of these two languages. For Italian movies no subtitles are need during the selection process.

12. Submission Fees
Each film submitted must be accompanied by the relevant entry fee. Entry fees are non-refundable.

13. Content Restrictions
Films that promote hate speech, racial, ethnic, religious, or political violence, or contain pornographic material will not be accepted. The festival organizers reserve the right to exclude any films that do not comply with these standards.

14. Selection Notification
Filmmakers will be notified via FilmFreeway if their film has been selected for screening at the festival. The festival is not responsible for any communication issues or technical failures.

15. Public Screenings
Films selected for screening will be shown during the festival's in-person event in Rome.

16. Jury's Decision
The decision of the jury is final. No correspondence regarding the jury's selection process will be entertained.

17. Festival Offline Linktree
All films included in the Official Selection may be featured in a private Linktree created by the Festival. This Linktree will be shared exclusively with festival organizers, cultural associations, industry professionals, and selected individuals interested in viewing the films after the conclusion of the Festival. The Linktree will not be publicly accessible and will be used solely for promotional, cultural, and networking purposes related to the Festival.

18. Acknowledgment of Rules
By submitting a film, the filmmaker agrees to abide by all the rules and regulations outlined in this document. Submitting a film implies full acceptance of the festival's terms and conditions.

19. Film Rights and Responsibilities
By submitting a film, the filmmaker affirms they hold all necessary rights to the submitted work, including copyright, distribution, and image rights. The filmmaker is responsible for acquiring any necessary permissions (e.g., music, images) and will indemnify the festival organizers from any legal claims.

20. Legal Jurisdiction
Any legal disputes related to the submission or participation in the festival will be governed by the laws of Italy. The exclusive jurisdiction for any disputes will be in Rome, Italy.

Felice Film Festival - Regolamento ufficiale

1. Processo di iscrizione
Tutti i film devono essere inviati tramite la piattaforma FilmFreeway. Saranno considerati per la selezione solo cortometraggi con una durata inferiore ai 20 minuti. Le categorie ammesse sono:

1. Ammissione
Il Felice Film Festival è aperto a cineasti di tutto il mondo. I film devono essere nella loro lingua originale con sottotitoli in inglese o in italiano (non è necessario fornire sottotitoli se il film è in italiano).

3. Processo di selezione
I film saranno esaminati dalla Commissione di Selezione del festival. La Commissione selezionerà i film da proiettare in base alla qualità artistica e all'originalità.

4. Menzioni speciali
Oltre ai premi principali, la Giuria del Festival potrà attribuire delle menzioni speciali ai film che si distinguono in ambiti artistici specifici, come Miglior Regia, Miglior Sceneggiatura, Miglior Montaggio, Miglior Attore, ecc.

5. Premio del Pubblico
Il pubblico avrà l'opportunità di votare il proprio film preferito tra quelli selezionati. Il film con il maggior numero di voti riceverà il Premio del Pubblico, che verrà annunciato durante la cerimonia di premiazione.

6. Premi
I vincitori di ciascuna categoria riceveranno il premio Miglior Film per la loro categoria. Tutti i film selezionati riceveranno dei lauri e dei certificati via email. I premi fisici e i certificati saranno consegnati personalmente agli autori durante il festival.

7. Proiezione
Tutti i film selezionati saranno proiettati al Felice Film Festival a Roma, presso la sede dell'evento in Piazza Santa Maria Liberatrice 36b, Testaccio.

8. Pubblicità
Con la presentazione del loro film, i cineasti concedono al Felice Film Festival il permesso di utilizzare il titolo del loro film, il poster, il trailer e il materiale promozionale sulle piattaforme online del festival, inclusi il sito web e i social media, per scopi promozionali.

9. Formato del Film
I film devono essere inviati in formato digitale (qualità HD, 720p o superiore).

10. Durata del Film
Saranno accettati solo cortometraggi con una durata massima di 20 minuti. I film che superano questa durata non saranno considerati.

11. Lingua
I film devono avere sottotitoli in inglese o in italiano. I film in altre lingue devono fornire sottotitoli in una di queste due lingue. Per i film italiani non sono necessari sottotitoli durante il processo di selezione.

12. Quote di iscrizione
Ogni film inviato deve essere accompagnato dalla relativa quota di iscrizione. Le quote di iscrizione non sono rimborsabili.

13. Restrizioni sui contenuti
Non saranno accettati film che promuovono discorsi d'odio, violenza razziale, etnica, religiosa, politica o materiale pornografico. Gli organizzatori del festival si riservano il diritto di escludere qualsiasi film che non rispetti questi criteri.

14. Notifica di selezione
I registi saranno notificati tramite FilmFreeway se il loro film è stato selezionato per la proiezione al festival. Il festival non è responsabile per problemi di comunicazione o guasti tecnici.

15. Proiezioni pubbliche
I film selezionati per la proiezione saranno mostrati durante l'evento in presenza a Roma.

16. Decisione della giuria
La decisione della giuria è definitiva. Non sarà intrattenuta alcuna corrispondenza riguardante il processo di selezione della giuria.

17. Linktree del Festival
Tutti i film inclusi nella Selezione Ufficiale potranno essere inseriti in una Linktree privata creata dal Festival. Tale Linktree sarà condivisa esclusivamente con organizzatori di festival, associazioni culturali, professionisti del settore e soggetti selezionati interessati alla visione delle opere dopo la conclusione del Festival. La Linktree non sarà accessibile al pubblico e verrà utilizzata unicamente per finalità promozionali, culturali e di networking connesse alle attività del Festival.

18. Accettazione del regolamento
Con la presentazione del film, il regista accetta di conformarsi a tutte le regole e i regolamenti indicati in questo documento. La presentazione del film implica l'accettazione completa dei termini e delle condizioni del festival.

19. Diritti sui Film e Responsabilità
Con la presentazione del film, il regista afferma di detenere tutti i diritti necessari sull'opera inviata, inclusi i diritti d'autore, di distribuzione e sui diritti d'immagine. Il regista è responsabile di acquisire tutte le autorizzazioni necessarie (es. musica, immagini) e terrà indenni gli organizzatori del festival da qualsiasi reclamo legale.

20. Giurisdizione legale
Eventuali controversie legali relative all'iscrizione o alla partecipazione al festival saranno regolamentate dalla legislazione italiana. La giurisdizione esclusiva per qualsiasi controversia sarà quella di Roma, Italia.

    Il Felice Film Festival è stata l'esperienza più sana (e felice) che abbia vissuto in contesti festivalieri. Una presenza totale di confronto tra una proiezione e l'altra, discussioni spontanee, domande dirette, scambi sinceri, rapporto con il pubblico (il tutto con assenza di formalismi inutili, ghirlande, cravatte e cravattine).
    Si respira un ambiente indipendente e totalmente amichevole, con voglia di fare e condividere.
    Lo staff è composto da persone giovani e competenti, gentili e con sogni tra le mani.
    Consigliato a chi cerca un contesto umano e artistico prima che qualcosa di “istituzionale” e "competitivo". Viva il chuormo! --p.s. tornerò a farvi visita :)
