I am very thankful to the festival for giving me the chance to share Paani and talk about water scarcity and how it affects women’s health and children’s education. I am honored that Paani received an honorable mention. This recognition means a lot to me and encourages me to continue this work. With gratitude, Akshita Vashisht

  • I am incredibly grateful to the East Village New York Film Festival for recognizing Last Supper with the Best Indie Feature Film award.

As an independent filmmaker, it means a great deal to have a passion project created on a micro budget connect with a festival that celebrates bold storytelling and creative voices. This recognition is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and talent of our entire cast and crew who poured their hearts into this film.

Thank you to the East Village New York Film Festival for the honor and for supporting independent cinema. We are proud to have Last Supper included among this year's winners and look forward to sharing more stories in the future.
