XChange 2015 - Film Showcase screens an eclectic collection of independent international and Indian films.

The hand-picked selection of non-mainstream films from India and all over the globe range from difficult-to-access, rare films sourced from India's Films Division archives, to recent releases. The film programming is a showcase of some of India's and the world's best independent filmmakers, and gives audiences a chance to explore a very different perspective of Indian cinema.

Select Filmmakers participate in Q&A’s with fellow filmmakers and the public after the screenings.

Rules & Terms

Submission Rules & Regulations:

The 4th IndiEarth XChange Film Festival will be held from November 27th to 29th, 2015 in Chennai, India. And we are now accepting film submissions for showcases as a part of the Film Programme.

LENGTHS:
Short Films: Any film less than 60 minutes

Feature Length: 60 minutes or more

DEADLINE:
October 10th 2015

ELIGIBILITY
Submission will be considered complete only when the required film information is registered online via www.filmfreeway.com. The screener has to be delivered to the Festival by the deadline.
IndiEarth XChange accepts features, short films, documentaries and animation related to any topic or subject. The film must not be broadcasted on TV or available on the Internet prior to the program date.
The films can be submitted from any part or the world and the filmmaker or production house can be of any nationality.

PRODUCTION DATE:
The film must have been completed no earlier than April 2014.

SUBMISSION FORMAT:
The Festival accepts either online screeners (password encrypted on vimeo, youtube or FilmFreeway) or DVDs/ Pen drives.

Only HD formats with minimum 720p. No other formats are compatible (including compact discs, blu-ray, etc).
Films in any language other than English must be provided with English subtitles.

While sending the film via data dvds or pen drives or HDD, the package should be clearly labeled with the details as below:

1) Film Title
2) Director’s Name
3) Duration
4) Contact Information
5) Tracking Number.

• All costs are to be prepaid by the sender, and the IndiEarth XChange Film Programme will not assume responsibility for any charges. To ensure safe and timely shipment, mark the parcel with “NO COMMERCIAL VALUE - FOR CULTURAL PURPOSES ONLY”. The DVD and pen drives of the film files will not be returned, and the content will be professionally destroyed after the conclusion of each edition of the Festival.
All expense pertaining to return of External Hard Disks (HDDs) is to be borne by the filmmaker.

PRIORITY:
IndiEarth XChange gives priority to World or International premieres.

• World premieres are films screened for the first time to any audience, including country of origin.
• International premieres are films screened for the first time to an audience outside country of origin.

SELECTION RESULTS:
IndiEarth XChange will notify the selection results to the filmmakers by October 30th 2015.
IndiEarth XChange reserves the right to decide the section in which the selected film will participate. The Festival does not provide individual explanation on the non-selection or cancellation of a film showcase.
