Oulu Music Video Festival (OMVF) is the world’s oldest music video festival, celebrating and challenging the intersection of sound and vision for over 30 years.

The 33rd edition of OMVF will take place in Oulu, Finland from August 27 to August 30.

The festival showcases an eclectic mix of music videos, films, live performances, exhibitions, workshops, and networking events. Hundreds of music videos light up big screens across various venues, while both local and international artists take the stage—including at the festival’s legendary and enigmatic awards ceremony, the Pumpeli Gala.
OMVF’s film programming explores the full spectrum of audiovisual expression, from experimental short films and musicals to silent film concerts, A/V live performances, and expanded cinema.

As part of Oulu 2026 European Capital of Culture, OMVF launches its first European Music Video Competition, expanding from 2025’s Nordic Music Video Competition.

The festival includes a separate Finnish Music Video Competition, which has taken place annually since 1994.
