  • Melrose Hill Film Festival is a true gem in the Los Angeles festival scene. Beautifully curated, welcoming, and full of great creative energy, it’s exactly what a boutique festival should be. The team runs the event with professionalism and genuine passion for independent film, and the staff goes out of their way to support filmmakers and create a wonderful atmosphere for both artists and audiences. It was an absolute pleasure screening The Last Take there.

This under the radar festival is real gem. In one intimate evening, two blocks of short films screened for a friendly supportive audience of filmmakers. The talkbacks were thoughtful, honest and dare I say, inspirational. Filmmakers spoke generously and honestly about their process and challenges. The whole vibe was one of community, support and good cheer. Is it a big flashy splashy event? No. It's far better than that and it was refreshing to be a part of it.

  • I thoroughly enjoyed how Victoria ran and formatted this festival. Two blocks in three hours so all filmmakers have the opportunity to see the entire program. The intimate atmosphere made it easy to network. I appreciated their philosophy of giving back to the filmmaking community and providing drinks and refreshments free of charge. The Q&A with an industry professional was helpful and insightful. I also really appreciated them awarding Anesthesia as the Best Short Film, and that they took the time to write thorough reviews on my film!
