Horror en Banfield International Film Festival

Bases y Condiciones

Se admitirán exclusivamente obras audiovisuales en formato de cortometraje o largometraje (ficción o documental) pertenecientes al género de terror, en cualquiera de sus subgéneros: slasher, gore, suspenso, aventura, fantasía y ciencia ficción.

En la edición 2025 se incorpora la sección Bizarra, destinada a aquellas obras que, sin pertenecer estrictamente al género de terror, se destaquen por su carácter singular, experimental o inclasificable.

Los gastos de envío del material correrán por cuenta de los participantes. El festival no abonará tasas de envío ni derechos de proyección.

Las obras presentadas deberán haber sido producidas con posterioridad a enero de 2022.
En caso de que la obra no esté hablada en idioma español, deberá contar obligatoriamente con subtítulos en castellano en formato .srt.

En caso de resultar seleccionada, la obra deberá ser enviada de manera digital mediante un enlace de descarga (Google Drive o plataforma similar), sin fecha de caducidad. La organización comunicará oportunamente la fecha límite de entrega de la copia de proyección. El incumplimiento de dicho plazo podrá derivar en la descalificación de la obra.

La fecha límite de postulación será el 11 de julio de 2025. El festival se reserva el derecho de modificar esta fecha ante imprevistos.

La programación, incluyendo fecha y horario de cada proyección, será determinada por la organización del festival.

El material deberá entregarse en formato FHD 1080p o UHD 3840x2160.
Las proyecciones de las obras seleccionadas se realizarán de manera presencial y en formato digital.

Los participantes, propietarios y/o representantes de las obras seleccionadas ceden los derechos de exhibición al festival “Horror en Banfield” y declaran contar con todas las autorizaciones necesarias para la proyección del material presentado.

El Festival Horror en Banfield se deslinda de cualquier tipo de responsabilidad ante eventuales perjuicios. Asimismo, no será responsable por inconvenientes derivados del incumplimiento de normativas legales que afecten los derechos de exhibición y/o reproducción de las obras.

El festival se compromete a utilizar el material recibido exclusivamente con fines de promoción y difusión, así como a proyectar las obras seleccionadas de manera responsable y únicamente dentro del marco del evento, en fechas y horarios previamente informados a sus representantes.

La participación en la convocatoria implica la aceptación total de las presentes bases y condiciones. Cualquier situación no contemplada en este documento será resuelta por la organización del festival.

El anuncio de los ganadores se realizará al cierre del festival y será publicado en las redes sociales oficiales. Asimismo, los ganadores serán notificados por correo electrónico y recibirán su diploma en formato digital.

El festival se llevará a cabo en la ciudad de Banfield durante el mes de octubre de 2026, los días 2, 3, 4 con posibilidad de modificación ante cualquier eventualidad.

Rules and Conditions

Only audiovisual works in the format of short films or feature films (fiction or documentary) belonging to the horror genre will be accepted, including any of its subgenres: slasher, gore, suspense, adventure, fantasy, and science fiction.

The 2025 edition introduces the “Bizarre” section, intended for works that, while not strictly belonging to the horror genre, stand out for their unique, experimental, or unclassifiable nature.

Participants are responsible for all shipping costs. The festival will not cover shipping fees or screening rights.

Submitted works must have been produced after January 2022.
If the work is not in Spanish, it must include Spanish subtitles in .srt format.

If selected, the film must be submitted digitally via a download link (Google Drive or similar platform) with no expiration date. The organizers will communicate the deadline for submitting the screening copy in due course. Failure to meet this deadline may result in the film’s disqualification.

The application deadline is July 11, 2025. The festival reserves the right to modify this date in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

The schedule, including the date and time of each screening, will be determined by the festival organizers.

The material must be submitted in FHD 1080p or UHD 3840x2160 format.
Screenings of the selected works will take place in person and in digital format.

Participants, owners, and/or representatives of the selected works grant exhibition rights to the “Horror en Banfield” festival and declare that they possess all necessary authorizations for the screening of the submitted material.

The Horror en Banfield Festival disclaims any liability for any damages that may arise. Furthermore, it shall not be liable for any issues arising from non-compliance with legal regulations affecting the exhibition and/or reproduction rights of the works.

The festival undertakes to use the material received exclusively for promotional and dissemination purposes, as well as to screen the selected works responsibly and solely within the framework of the event, on dates and times previously communicated to their representatives.

Participation in this call for entries implies full acceptance of these terms and conditions. Any situation not covered in this document will be resolved by the festival organizers.

The winners will be announced at the close of the festival and published on the official social media channels. Additionally, the winners will be notified by email and will receive their certificate in digital format.

The festival will take place in the city of Banfield during the month of October 2026, on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, with the possibility of changes due to unforeseen circumstances.
