WeirdFilm screens horror, fantasy, sci-fi and just plain weird films, live and animated, from around the world, plus trivia contests with prizes.

We'll be screening at The New Parkway Theater, Oakland's premier indie movie house and social center, with comfy couches (!) in the theater, food and drink service, and convenient to train and bus.

Rules & Terms

Short films: 15 minutes maximum.
Any date of completion is OK; publicly on the Internet is OK.
Provide online screener (MOV or MP4), with synopsis, & English subtitles if dialog is not in English.
You must own rights to any music & stock media in your film.
Films may not be withdrawn from consideration & submission = consent to screening.
Past submissions are frequently re-considered (no need to submit the same film twice).

    These guys are fantastic. The communication is fast and personal. The festival itself is to far for me to travel from uk but from what I've seen on the website its awesome.

    Weird Film Fest had great communication all the way through and were extremely friendly. We really wish we could have been there in person. They have great taste in shorts and we would absolutely submit something again and hopefully attend next tim!
