♥ WE ACCEPT ONLY FEMINIST & QUEER SHORT FILMS ♥ WITH A SPECIAL FOCUS ON FEMINIST QUEER PORN & EROTIC FILMS ♥
The Red Dawns Film Collective warmly invites you to join us at the 28th International Feminist and Queer Festival Red Dawns, organized by KUD Mreža — a vibrant celebration of radical creativity, joyful resistance, and collective imagination.
Each year, the festival hosts a diverse and unapologetic feminist and queer program: concerts, performances, exhibitions, discussions, and film screenings created by and for F*LINTA+, queer, gay and bisexual people. As always, we’re excited to present a carefully curated selection of short DIY feminist and queer films — including a dedicated program for feminist queer porn and erotic cinema.
♥ QUEER FEMINIST PORN & EROTIC FILM PROGRAM ♥
We are looking for short films that offer alternatives to mainstream pornography — films where desire, sexuality, and pleasure are explored through a feminist and queer lens. This is a space for stories that center bodies and experiences that are rarely represented with care or agency, and that reclaim sexuality as a site of connection, resistance, imagination, and joy.
We’re interested in films that spark reflection and raise questions — about how we understand gender, intimacy, consent, longing, power, and the politics of representation. We invite submissions that are explicit or suggestive, playful or serious, raw or carefully crafted — as long as they approach erotic expression with respect, intentionality, and integrity.
♥ QUEER FEMINIST SHORT FILM PROGRAM ♥
This broader short film program is open to feminist and queer films of all genres — experimental, documentary, fiction, or hybrid — as long as they are made by and for F*LINTA+, gay, and queer communities. We’re drawn to films that expand how we represent ourselves and each other, reflecting not only struggles, but also joy, intimacy, uncertainty, and everyday forms of solidarity.
♥ We believe in reclaiming space — both on screen and in public — for feminist and queer erotics, politics, and imagination. ♥
Join us in Ljubljana in March 2027 and be part of a program that insists on sexuality as a site of resistance, pleasure as political, and representation as a transformative act.

At Red Dawns, we believe in creating a safer space for reflecting on sexuality, identity, and power — together, and on our own terms. We welcome works that are grounded in mutual care and radical imagination, and that insist on the right to experience and express desire without shame or fear.
Let’s keep carving out spaces where we can laugh, touch, think, flirt, rest, and feel. Where pleasure is not a luxury, but a language. Where representation is not an afterthought, but a way of reclaiming the narrative.

Why we do this:
March 8th is our day. A collective interruption. A refusal to disappear. A day to take up space, unapologetically. To center queer feminist art, joy, labor, and desire that so often goes unseen. To be loud. To be tender. To celebrate and to be celebrated.
We resist through collective experience of intimacy and joy — not simplified, not escapistic. We carry our contradictions. We bring both pleasure and grief. We speak of kink and kinship, of agency and ambivalence, of autonomy and interconnectedness. Pleasure is not a luxury — it is a form of knowledge. Erotics is not indulgence — it is resistance to alienation. Representation is not an obligation — it is a right and a choice.
Bring us your softest moments, your kinkiest fantasies, your fiercest visions. Let’s reshape the narrative — with care, lust, and solidarity.
Submit your film — and join us!
