Wandering Cinema is a process-driven lab, retreat, and workshop, designed to immerse participants in the art of cinema and the current independent and international industries.

Over a 7-day period, participants attend master classes from renowned guest filmmakers, learn to pitch their own projects, work in both 16mm and VR formats, and attend screenings.

Wandering Cinema also serves as an introduction to the film community at large, by forging connections and relationships. The inaugural edition brought Agnieszka Smoczyńska (THE SILENT TWINS, THE LURE) from Poland, and Ali Vatansever (SAF) from Turkey. In 2023, Blerta Basholli (HIVE) and Giacomo Abbruzzese (DISCO BOY) will lead master classes.

Wandering Cinema takes place in a different part of the world each year. 2022 was in the Italian Alps. 2023 will be in Segovia, Spain. Wandering Cinema seeks a wide range of diverse applicants, from any cinematic background - zero experience through seasoned filmmaker.

Wandering Cinema is an immersive, collaborative cinematic week...and it's also very fun! Cocktails and group meals, swimming and new friends: part of the essence of Wandering Cinema is to take some of the pressure off of the industry, and to truly retreat into an inspiring landscape.
