We work incredibly hard to keep our entry fees ultra-low (just $25 for earlybird entrants, $30 for regular and $35 for final).

Our feedback/notes (optional extra) are the best in the industry for their ultra-low pricepoint.

DO YOU OFFER SCREENPLAY FEEDBACK?
Yes. For a modest additional fee we will provide a page of feedback/advice on your work, and a scorecard that scores your script in 17 key areas.

WHEN WILL I GET MY FEEDBACK?
If you order feedback, you will receive it within two months of contest entry.

Many screenplay contests have a preference for drama scripts and awards often largely go to screenplays of that genre. We are different - we award good screenwriting, regardless of genre.

Notification of all placings and awards will also be published on the Reel Authors website. All entrants will receive an email on the notification date.

In lieu of cash prizes we work hard to recognize good screenwriting, keep our entry fees ultra-low and offer publicity for screenplays.

PUBLICITY / MARKETING OF YOUR SCREENPLAY
All scripts reaching the quarters, semis and finals will have their placement, screenplay title and author name published on the popular screenwriting site: Reel Authors.

ARCHIVE OF PAST PLACEMENTS
We always keep an archive of past placements so agents, prodcos etc who wish to verify your award/placement can do so.

YOUR SCREENPLAY
• All scripts must be in English and no more than 120 pages.

• Scripts must be at least 70 pages in length.

• All scripts must be in PDF format

• Please try to conform to the industry standard for screenplays.

• Please include a title page with: script title, author name(s) and contact email address.

OTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS
• Submissions must be the original work of the entrant(s).

• Modifications/changes/new drafts etc of submitted work are only acceptable if accompanied by a new order fee.

• Screenplay feedback/advice and scorecard is an optional service at additional cost.

• All fees are nonrefundable.

ELIGIBILITY
• Professional screenwriters are ineligible.

• Scripts based on an existing book/play/film or other existing material are only eligible if they are the entrant’s original work and the entrant maintains copyright.

• Scripts based on historical events are eligible provided the information is in the public domain and the entrant does not violate copyrighted material or another author’s work.

COPYRIGHT & PRIVACY
• Copyright: You maintain copyright and all rights to your screenplay. Your entry grants no power over your script to Reel Authors.

• Privacy: All Reel Author readers sign a confidentially agreement regarding submitted screenplays. They are legally bound to keep your script, characters, storyline and other elements confidential.
