Welcome to New Jersey International Short Festival!!

We are dedicated to international short films, and short screenwriting of all genres. New Jersey International Short Festival has a seasonal structure.

The mission ofthe festival is to celebrate the independent motion picture and literary arts by providing a platform for international filmmakers and writers to have their short film projects recognized, promoted, screened and awarded online.

The members of the jury are film scholars, filmmakers, film critics and distributors from USA.

Rules & Terms

Rules & Terms:

-Films can be from anywhere in the world since the festival is an international competition.
-The festival has the right to use a trailer, stills and a poster from the films for promotional purposes.
-English subtitles are required for non English films.
-All films must be not older than year 2016.
-The festival does not require World Premiere, but appreciates if you notify us if you are either a World Premiere, International Premiere (your first premiere outside your country of origin), or New Jersey Premiere.
-Entry fees are in U.S. dollars, per film entry and are non-refundable.
Entries without entry fees will be disqualified. The festival does not give fee waivers. Please refrain from emailing us about fee waivers. Thank you.

    This film is my way of looking back—quietly, honestly—at where I came from.
    Behind the poverty were small lights: a parent’s sacrifice, a neighbor’s helping hand, shared meals and shared tears.
    Those memories are not just the past; they are the roots of who I am today as an artist.
