The Fort Langley Film Festival, presented by Creative Compass Society, is dedicated to showcase a diverse selection of shorts, documentaries and feature films to create conversations and inspire growth amongst filmmakers and film viewers from all walks of life. The weekend of independent films is combined with Q&A’s, film talks and the popular 48-hour film challenge, the Fort Flicks, to entertain and inspire festival audiences.
In 2021, the inaugural festival opened in the heart of Fort Langley at the historic Fort Langley Community Hall. The heritage 1931 ballroom was converted to a screening venue for the weekend. A diverse range of independent short films from a broad range of creative filmmakers told powerful stories.
Submit your film and if selected, let us share your film during the weekend festival with a broader audience of fellow filmmakers, film lovers and the film industry. Whether you are submitting a thought-provoking short or simply a fun film celebrating the human condition, your voice is important. We thank you for your passion and perspectives and welcome your creativity in your submission into our 3rd annual Festival.
Creative Compass Society is a non-profit organization, founded in 2018, whose mission is to connect emerging talent with community partners fostering shared learning opportunities across arts disciplines of music, theatre, art and film.
