Season 4 winning writer's screenplay will be produced as a short film and distributed as part of Twilight Season 3!

1. Winning screenplay will be produced as short film!

---All genres accepted!
---There are no page limits but the winning film should be max 20 minutes (on a rare occasion, longer films will be considered).
---If you submit a script that is longer, you agree to work with the director to shorten the screenplay before production starts.

2. Only 100 submissions accepted!

---This means the contest will stop accepting entries after 100 script submissions have been received!
--The contest may run for 1 day or several weeks until this quota is met.

3. Each writer can submit up to 5 short screenplays!

---With only 100 open spots, you can increase your chances of winning by claiming all 5 spots (1/20 chances to win).

4. You can resubmit a new version of your screenplay for FREE!

---Once the contest closes, you have 30 days to resubmit a new version of your screenplay before the judging starts.
---This means you can initially submit a draft version of your screenplay when the contest opens and work on polishing it throughout the contest and 30 days after it closes.

5. The winning film will be distributed as a part of the Twilight Reno Season 3!

---This truly is a one of a kind opportunity to get your screenplay produced but also become a distributed screenwriter!

The aim of the Mad Wife 100 shorts is to get undiscovered writers produced and to launch their careers!

Unproduced and undiscovered screenwriters have an uphill battle to climb. Mad Wife contests are making this climb easier! Work with producers and a mentor to take you to the next level as a writer!

Winning Prize:

One screenwriter will win production of a short film based on their screenplay.

The winning film will be distributed as a part of Twilight Reno Season 3.

1. Each writer can submit up to 5 short screenplays.

2. There is no maximum length to submit a screenplay; however the final film should not be longer than 20 minutes. The writer agrees to work with the director/producers to bring the screenplay to ideal length.

3. Only 100 submissions are accepted (chances of winning are 1/100 to 1/20).

4. The screenplay must be submitted in English and in PDF format. Any other submissions may be disqualified.

5. The writer(s) need to own all rights to the screenplay and the material submitted must not be encumbered by any obligation to, or option held by, any third party. Winning writer(s) needs to sign an option to purchase agreement.

6. All fees submitted are non-refundable.

7. You understand that the judges decisions are final and cannot be appealed against.

8. We reserve the right to amend these rules at any time, including shortening or extending the contest period, increasing or decreasing submission fee or granting discounts to individual entrants.

9. BY SUBMITTING YOUR MATERIALS YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND AGREE TO THESE CONDITIONS. You agree to release and hold harmless Mad Wife Productions, its subsidiary, parent and affiliated companies, prize contributors, judges, screenplay analysts, sponsors, and any other organizations responsible for administering, advertising or promoting your submission of material, and every one of their respective members, directors, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, the “Released Parties”) past and present from and against any and all claims, expenses, and liability, including but not limited to damages and negligence to property and persons, including but not limited to invasion of privacy, defamation, slander, libel, violation of right of publicity, copyright, infringement of trademark or other intellectual property rights relating to a participant’s submission of materials and/or acceptance or use or misuse of prize; provided however, that such release will not apply to any commercial exploitation of the script by a Released Party in violation of your rights under applicable copyright law; and (c) indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Mad wife Productions and its sponsor, agents and employees from and against any and all claims, expenses, and liabilities (including reasonable attorneys fees) relating to an entrant’s participation in the Contest and/or entrant’s use or misuse of Prize.

10. By submitting, you acknowledge that because of Mad Wife Productions position in the entertainment industry Mad Wife Productions receives numerous submissions of ideas, formats, stories, suggestions and the like and that many such submissions heretofore or hereafter received by Mad Wife Productions are similar to or identical to those developed by you. You understand that you will not be entitled to any compensation because of the use of any such similar material by Mad Wife Productions.

11. You agree to indemnify and hold Mad Wife Productions harmless from and against any and all claims, expenses, losses, causes of action, judgments or liabilities (including, without limitation, reasonable outside attorneys’ fees) that may be asserted against you or incurred by you at any time in connection with the screenplay, or any use thereof, including without limitation those arising from any alleged breach of the warranties and promises given herein.
