I was so moved by the Swedish International Film Festival's selection of my screenplay for their competition. I'd been overly self conscious and nervous about sharing my story, but their response and feedback was so supportive and I couldn't be more appreciative. My ancestors emigrated to the United States from Sweden and this has felt like reaching back to my past and finding healing. Thank you so much for the experience.

I’m deeply honored to share that THE LAST EDEN received Best AI Film at the Sweden International Film Festival.

This award feels especially meaningful to me, not only because I was told I am the first Korean filmmaker to receive this recognition, but also because the festival’s words on why the film was selected felt as if they had looked directly into my own production notes.

They understood the intention behind the film with such precision — not simply as an AI work, but as cinema.

A few days ago, the trophy finally arrived, making the experience feel even more real.

I sincerely hope the Sweden International Film Festival continues to grow as a powerful international platform for bold, original, and future-facing cinema. And I feel grateful to have been part of its journey.

    Thank you, SIFF.

  • I had an absolutely wonderful experience with the Swedish International Film Festival. As an indie filmmaker, finding a festival that truly values and respects independent storytelling can be challenging, but SIFF exceeded all my expectations.
The communication from the festival team throughout the entire process was prompt, clear, and highly professional. I am deeply honored and thrilled that my documentary feature, 'Shades of Sadness,' was selected and announced as a Winner!
This recognition means the world to our team and gives a massive boost to our film's journey.
Thank you to the entire jury and organizing team!

  • So honored to have The Promise awarded Best First Time Filmmaker at Swedish International Film Festival and included in their monthly online screening.

The festival’s model with continuous selections and potential live screenings in Sweden creates ongoing exposure beyond a single announcement. Everything ran smoothly, and it felt like the team genuinely cared about the films they select.

This festival is a solid platform for filmmakers looking to build visibility and reach an international audience. Many thanks from me and the team! 🙌🤩🙏
