FLANIMATION FILM FEST is Florida's newest and coolest animated film festival. We strive to show the best original animated films by artists from our fair peninsula and around the world!

We at FLAnimation Film Fest LOVE comedy and curate a special comedy program Saturday night, so send us your best laughs!

This will be an incredible opportunity to see some of the brightest up and coming animators from around the globe and the work they are producing. The festival will be screening a diverse selection of animation throughout the festival, with a special focus on Florida artists!

The mission of this festival is to promote and preserve the art of animation as well as get creators networking with professionals through our judging panel. Long term goals include portfolio reviews, speakers and other animation-focused events as our festival grows!

The selected and awarded movies promotional material will be announced and viewable in our site (https://flanimation.com) and in our social media pages.

The selected films rightful owners of the rights, in each category of every edition, hereby authorize the film’s live screening in FLANIMATION FILM FEST events. This authorization is an indispensable condition for inclusion in the festival’s official selection. Award categories may change based on submitted content.

FLANIMATION FILM FEST takes place January 27, 2024 at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Jacksonville

4. Submission Eligibility
Every entry/submission will be judged based on its directing, acting, technical, and artistic merits, as related to the submission. All decisions made by the judge(s) are considered final and incontestable.

The entrant/submitter/moviemaker hereby certifies that he possesses the right(s) and all of the proper clearances to submit the movie, including, but not limited to image rights, talent releases, soundtrack, and/or source music releases; and assumes all responsibility for their material. The FLANIMATION FILM FEST accepts no responsibility, financial or otherwise, for any movie submitted to the festival.

Entry fees are nonrefundable.

Multiple entries are allowed. Any entry will be considered eligible in the next edition only if the film was not selected in the previous edition.

Submissions in languages other than English must be subtitled in English.

We accept films released after 2016.

We consider short films to have a maximum duration of 30 minutes or less, but prefer shorts to be 10 minutes or less. If your work is longer than 10 minutes, we will discuss with you to screen your preferred scene.

FLANIMATION FILM FEST reserves the right to disqualify any film whose submitter might be in any way linked to illicit or criminal acts, proven or otherwise.

    I was incredibly honored that my short film "Nightlife" was selected to appear at this festival, and even more honored when it won Best Original Design. I wasn't able to attend, but communication was timely and helpful, and I'm sure it was an wonderful event.

    Highly likely I will submit again, and highly recommend to any/all indie animators!
