Every year from December 20 to 22, Beijing is not only an economic city, but also a movie city.For the love of film, the 3-day event was packed with seminars, film screenings, financing talks, director Q&A sessions and more.
The China Beijing Film Festival is a young film festival, which is not only reflected in the number of years of operation, but also reflected in the concept of holding the film festival.CBJFF prides itself on championing the most exciting new voices in international cinema, offering a diverse range of programming and fostering inspirational dialogue.
Finalists will receive an e-Cert and Laurel from the festival.And the film festival will recommend the shortlisted films to bigger film festivals in China, and have the chance to win awards in other film festivals in China!
The China Beijing Film Festival accepts and supports films and people of all types.Whether you are a film producer or a film enthusiast, we hope you will join us this year.

Awards & Prizes

With over 30 award categories, it is also possible for entrants to receive multiple nominations for more than one project. All festival nominees and winners are selected by a jury of film industry professionals from CHINA，Europe, the USA, and Canada.

Finalists will receive an e-Cert and Laurel from the festival.And the film festival will recommend the shortlisted films to bigger film festivals in China, and have the chance to win awards in other film festivals in China!

A selection of the jury's favorite films will be screened at our annual event. Entrants of chosen screening films will be notified prior to the event.

Rules & Terms

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND COMPLETELY PRIOR TO SUBMITTING.
1. Submission Deadlines
Submissions are accepted from and FilmFreeway.

2. Submission Format
Films must be submitted EITHER via online screener if the size is less then 5GB or by DCP. The tracking number, film title, film category and running time must be clearly labeled on the DCP. Please avoid stickers on the cover. Submitted copies will not be returned.

3. Submission Eligibility
- There is no premiere policy for short films and music videos.
- Works-in-progress and films with distribution are accepted.

4. Premiere Status
- There is no Premiere policy for short films and music videos, they may have screened at other Festivals and/or online.

5. Submission Fee
The submission fee is non-refundable.

6. Shipping
All shipping and postage costs for the submission package and, if the film is selected for the Festival, for all DVDs and additional materials sent to and returned from CHINA BEIJING INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL must be borne by the submitting party.

7. Selection of Films
Submissions are reviewed and selected under the following criteria:
- Quality of narrative and production values
- Independent nature of the production

8. Notification
Time limit for short films: less than 60 minutes

Time limit for feature films: more than 60 minutes

9. Festival Screenings
Selected films MUST provide a Digital Cinema Package (DCP) in order to be screened at the CHINA BEIJING FILM FESTIVAL , as well as a back-up Blu-ray. The film title MUST be clearly labeled on the DCP and Blu-ray.

Blu-ray will be used as back-up only. Please clearly label whether your film is PAL or NTSC. Our facilities do NOT support DVD, tape, 35mm, Super 16mm, 8mm or double-head formats.

A selected DCP must be received at CHINA BEIJING FILM FESTIVAL no later than 30 days prior to its scheduled screening date.

Our partner cinema uses pin sharp Sony 4K Digital Cinema projection, making DCP screenings look incredible. CHINA BEIJING FILM FESTIVAL aspires to provide the best quality projection possible but will not be held liable for any failure in the technical quality of the projection, nor will fees be refunded in any such case.CHINA BEIJING FILM FESTIVAL assumes that the submitting party or filmmaker(s) or entrant(s) or print source company has insured for damage and loss of the festival DCP.

10. Scheduling
Screenings are scheduled during the Festival at the discretion of CHINA BEIJING FILM FESTIVAL . Whilst every effort will be made to adhere to the published schedule, CHINA reserves the right to make changes at any time for any reason. Festival will not be liable for any costs claimed as a result of a change in scheduling.

No film may be withdrawn from the festival program after its selection.

If shortlisted for a Jury prize, additional preview copies of the film must be provided or authorised by the submitting party if requested by CHINA BEIJING FILM FESTIVAL.

    I am honored that my film Yaruki !!! was an AWARD WINNER for Documentary Feature, but I never received the E- Certificate, or any information about the festival.

    The official status on Film freeway displayed my film as "selected" in China Beijing FF, yet the team never contacted me. After sending them email inquiries, they directed me to their official website which is under construction, and later informed me that I cannot get hold of their schedule because my film did not receive any awards. I am still confused about my admission status and was offered no meaningful participation.
