Alamo City Film Festival is a nonprofit organization committed to honoring the best and brightest filmmakers, storytellers and talent with an international celebration of film in the City of San Antonio, Texas. The Alamo City Film Festival will be held at the historic Lila Cockrell Theatre during October 28th–30th, 2016. With this annual festival, ACFF will feature riveting films and documentaries from around the world. In the future we plan to offer year round seminars and workshops in order to engage and inspire the community-at-large through the power of film. ACFF also aims to be a leading contributor to the Alamo City by providing various opportunities and programs to promote the goals set in motion by its own community leaders and activists.

Alamo City Film Festival will take place in conjunction with the Alamo City Comic Con, Oct 28th-30th. Alamo City Comic Con, which takes place in the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, becoming the 3rd largest Comic Con in the United States with over 73,000 people in attendance in 2014.

Prizes will be awarded for BEST NARRATIVE FEATURE, BEST DOCUMENTARY FEATURE, BEST SHORT, & BEST SHOT IN TEXAS.

GENERAL RULES

The Alamo City Film Festival has as its objective the promotion of cinematographic art by presenting films of quality and entertainment. The Alamo City Film Festival is an annual event based in the City of San Antonio, Texas.

The Alamo City Film Festival reserves the right to use excerpts from officially selected works for promotional purposes only. A substantial number of accredited national and international press will participate at this year's film festival.

It is the Alamo City Film Festival's policy not to offer comments and reasons for films not selected for the program.

ENTRY REGULATIONS

Prior Screenings:

- Entries may have been publicly screened or televised anywhere in the U.S., prior to the festival.

Completion Date:

- Entries may have been completed anytime.

Language:

- Foreign language films must be with English subtitles or dubbed.

SUBMISSION REGULATIONS

Deadline:

- All entries must be postmarked by the deadline date for which you are paying.

Formats:

- Entries must be submitted via secure online links OR on DVD (NTSC Region 0 / Region 1 only). Do not put multiple films on the same DVD.

-All shipping costs of films must be completed by the sender.

-Please note it is not possible for us to return any DVD.

DVD Labeling & Shipping:

- Preview DVDs must be clearly labeled with the film title, submission category, and run time.

Notification:

- Films selected for screening will be notified on or around September 9th, 2016.

REQUIRED SUBMISSION MATERIALS

- Entry fees are non-refundable.

- Online link or 1 preview DVDs (NTSC only). Please test your DVD on several makes and models of players. DVD+RW and DVD-RW are not acceptable formats. DVDs will not be returned.

- ACFF reserves the right to disqualify any submission without refund of submission fees.

- While world premieres are not requirements for ACFF, this information is taken into consideration when making final programming decisions.

- Feature films may have been screened on U.S. television or available to view on the Internet prior to the dates of the festival.

- All accepted films may be screened more than once, and are scheduled at the discretion of the Alamo City Film Festival staff.

- Exhibition Formats for all accepted films are Blu-Ray Region 0 / Region 1 OR DCP

- Films produced or financed by a major motion picture studio are eligible for festival screenings. Films that have acquired distribution are eligible for festival screenings.

- It is the responsibility of the filmmaker to secure authorization for any copyrighted material that may be used in the film.

- ACFF is held harmless from any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, or screening of any film.

- ACFF does not pay screening fees or guarantee travel for filmmakers.
