Movie selection process consists of multiple stages:
1.Technical selection
First selection stage is focused on the technical characteristics of the movie. To pass, movies must have been made in the past 2 years, up to 15 minutes in length, in an MP4 format and with an English language translation.
2.Geographical selection
In order to uphold the multicultural concept of the festival and to host movies from a large number of different countries, we had limited the number of movies from a single country which can be accepted into the official selection roster. The second stage of the selection is concerned with the selection of up to 4 movies from a single country, which have the highest quality. (In order to grade the quality of the movie we use qualitative criteria)
3.Qualitative selection
1.Theme and the idea of the movie (10 points)
This category is concerned with grading the measure of the movie’s contribution to the development of social cohesion (encouragement of the viewer to cooperate, the development of positive relations with other people or the personal development of the viewer) or the way it encourages the preservation of the planet Earth’s ecosystems. Movies which promote violence of any kind or infringe on human rights in any way will be disqualified and will not enter the official selection roster of the festival.
2.Scenario (10 points)
3.Production (20 points)
4.Animation quality (20 points)
5.Visual style and the originality of the artistic expression (20 points)
6.Contribution to the cultural and societal diversity and the preservation of authentic cultural models (10 points)
7.Sound and the music score (10 points)

Maximum number of points that can be attained by a single movie is 100. In order to enter the official selection roster, a movie must attain at least 60 points. Movies which attain less than 5 points in the Theme and Idea category cannot enter the official selection roster.
If multiple movies earn an equal number of points, the advantage will be given to movies coming from European countries with a lower production number of audio-visual works of art, and following those, the movies coming from other European countries.
