The Faux Film Festival is coming out of hiatus to help benefit the historic Clinton Street Theater. The theater has been closed for an extended period of time and we want to help the theater through these tough times, so all proceeds from both submissions and tickets will be going to the theater and none to the festival. This special edition of the festival will be conducted online by the theater and available worldwide.

Dates are tentative and will change based on how many films are submitted and accepted.

Awards & Prizes

There will be "Best of Faux" awards but no physical "trauxphies" for this special edition of the festival in order to have all proceeds go to keeping the historic Clinton Street Theater alive.

Rules & Terms

Shorts with a maximum running time of 20 minutes. No features this time.
Submissions must be made electronically - we will not accept physical media.
Films cannot be available on a general streaming platform, such as Youtube or Vimeo.
Films must be at least 1280x720 with 1920x1080 preferred.
Generally we don't care when the film was made as long as it meets the above technical requirement.
Any country as long as English is either spoken or subtitled in the film.

Please remember this is a comedy festival focusing on SPOOF AND SATIRE.

ALL SUBMISSION FEES GO TO KEEPING THE CLINTON STREET THEATER ALIVE.
NO FEES WILL BE KEPT BY THE FESTIVAL AND NO WAIVERS WILL BE GRANTED.

    An excellent festival that I've been proud to be involved with on three occasions: twice for "One Grain More," and more recently for "Trapped Inside the House." Parody is a phenomenal artform, yet despite its growing popularity, Faux is the only festival I've encountered dedicated to giving the same attention and accolade to it as to any other genre of film and comedy. It's been an honor to be involved.
