‘2D & 3D Animation Film Festival’ is an international festival for animated short films founded by film director Giuseppe Rossi and sponsored by Rotaract Club Sant’Angelo dei Lombardi Hirpinia Goleto. The festival will take place this summer in Italy. For the last editions we received films from 79 countries and from the best animation schools in the world such as Gobelins, Cal Arts, Ringling College, MoPA, ArtFX, BigRock, Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, including also 5 Oscar® nominated shorts.
It is an IMDb qualifying festival.

*For short films that combine both 2D and 3D animation. 3D that looks like 2D (in the style of The Peanuts Movie, Madagascar, Soul, Hotel Transylvania, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Oktapodi, Coyote Falls, Daffy’s Rhapsody) or 2D that looks like 3D (in the style of Klaus).

We accept short films of any genre, theme and country made with 2D animation (hand-drawn and Flash), 3D animation, live action with animated characters. Films made with stop-motion, motion capture or other techniques can be submitted in the 'Out of Competition' category. We do not accept 3D stereoscopic films.

Short Films must be 12 minutes maximum.

Submissions are free for student films and to be accepted they must has been produced by a film school.
Any language is accepted, but if dialogues are not in English or Italian, subtitles in English or Italian are required.

By submitting your film, you are allowing the festival to screen the film, promote the film with the elements at our disposal, insert a few seconds from the film in the trailer of the event, publish infos on our website and use the elements listed on your submission in any manner useful to run the festival. You must be legit regarding all the necessary rights including music rights appearing in your film.

Films can be submitted via FilmFreeway, or by providing us a Google Drive URL for download, or by sending us a link to the film on Vimeo (if password protected you must provide the password), or by email to: 2d3danimationfilmfestival@gmail.com

For the screening of the film at the festival it is required

-a Full HD .mp4 or .mov file;
-at least two 1920 x 1080 JPG or PNG still images from the film;
-a poster;
-a brief biography of the filmmaker.

    Felice di far parte con il nostro corto Cracks in the Pavement (Entre Baldosas). L’evento online si è tenuto in una sala virtuale sicura. Purtroppo non abbiamo potuto esserci nella proiezione fisica quindi non possiamo valutare ospitalità e networking.
