GUIDELINES FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE FILM FESTIVAL
della AWARD 2023
1. Feature films and documentaries submitted must not exceed 90 minutes in length
and short films are limited to 30 minutes.
2. The film must be related to DEAF issues as well as the sign language community.
3. The film must not have been produced prior to 2019.
4. The producer must be at least 18 years of age.
5. Subtitles must be submitted in SRT format, in English for international productions and both German and English subtitles for German productions.
6. Only your own films or films for which you own the rights can be submitted.
7. The producer transfers the film's rights of use free of charge to the festival management and the sponsor/organizer of the della AWARD 2023 for the duration of the submission until the end of the event. This also includes the rights of use for footage taken during the event and distributed via media. After the end of the della AWARD 2023, the validity of the transfer of rights expires automatically, unless other agreements are made between the producer:in and the organizer, which must be in writing. The right to the immutability of one's own work remains unaffected by this regulation.
8. Producers, distributors or other organizations registering a film must assure third parties involved in the production to be in agreement with their participation in the festival.
9. No film may be withdrawn from the Festival program after its participation has been made public.
10. In case of infringement of rights, the submitter(s) of the film shall be exclusively liable. The various bodies of della AWARD 2023 (including the festival management and the sponsor/organizer) cannot be held liable.
11. A violation of the aforementioned conditions will result in the immediate disqualification of the application or the production, respectively, and the exclusion from the della AWARD 2023.
12. The submitted application does not constitute a guarantee of participation.
13. Submitted films that have not been nominated for the program of the della AWARD 2023 film festival will be deleted or destroyed. A return is excluded.
14. The presentation of a prize will only take place in person in the course of the della AWARD 2023. Should the person be unable to attend, another person may accept the prize on behalf of the winner, provided this has been communicated in advance. The prizes will not be sent out.
15. The Festival Management decides on all questions not included in these regulations.
16. The legal process is excluded.
SEND US THE FOLLOWING APPLICATION DOCUMENTS:
1. Your documentary, feature film (maximum 90 minutes each) or short film (maximum 30 minutes).
2. The film format must be at least FULL HD and maximum 4K. All common file formats are
accepted such as MP4, AVI, MOV, MXF.
3. Subtitles in a separate SRT format.
4. Synopsis of the film with complete staff and cast list.
5. Complete film and biography of the director.
6. A Recent photo of the director.
7. A selection of at least 3 photos from the film.
8. A film/cinema poster in A1 format and a corresponding file
IMPORTANT:
We welcome films outside of the competition, they can be submitted regardless of the year of production and application requirements.

Deutsch:
1. Die eingereichten Spielfilme und Dokumentarfilme dürfen eine Länge von 90 Minuten nicht überschreiten und Kurzfilme sind auf 30 Minuten begrenzt.
2. Der Film muss im Zusammenhang mit DEAF-Themen sowie der Gebärdensprachgemeinschaft stehen.
3.Der Film darf nicht vor 2019 produziert worden sein.
4. Der Produzent/Die Produzentin ist mindestens 18 Jahre alt.
5. Es müssen Untertitel im SRT-Format eingereicht werden, für internationale Produktionen auf englisch und für deutsche Produktionen, sowohl deutsche als auch englische Untertitel.
6. Nur eigene Produktionen oder Produktionen, deren Rechte man besitzt, können eingereicht werden.
7. Der Produzent/Die Produzent:in tritt die Nutzungsrechte des Films für die Dauer der Einreichung bis zum Veranstaltungsende an die Festivalleitung und den Träger/Veranstalter der della AWARD 2023 unentgeltlich ab. Das schließt auch die Nutzungsrechte für Bildmaterial, das im Rahmen der Veranstaltung aufgenommen wurde und über die Medien verbreitet wird, mit ein. Nach Beenden des della AWARD 2023 erlischt die Gültigkeit der Rechtsübertragung automatisch, es sei denn, es werden andere Absprachen zwischen dem/der Produzent:in und dem Veranstalter getroffen, die der Schriftform bedürfen. Das Recht auf Unveränderlichkeit des eigenen Werkes bleibt von dieser Regelung unberührt.
8. Produzent:innen, Verleiher:innen oder sonstige Organisationen, die einen Film anmelden, haben sich gegenüber dritten Personen, die an der Produktion beteiligt waren, zu vergewissern, dass diese mit einer Teilnahme am Festival einverstanden sind.
9. Kein Film darf aus dem Programm des Festivals zurückgezogen werden, nachdem seine Teilnahme veröffentlicht wurde.
10.Bei Rechtsverletzungen haftet ausschließlich der/die Einreichende des Films. Die verschiedenen Gremien des della AWARD 2023 (u.a. die Festivalleitung und der Träger/Veranstalter) können nicht haftbar gemacht werden.
11. Ein Verstoß gegen die genannten Auflagen führt zur sofortigen Disqualifikation der Bewerbung beziehungsweise der Produktion und dem Ausschluss vom della AWARD 2023.
12. Die eingereichte Bewerbung stellt keine Teilnahmegarantie dar.
13. Übersandte Filme, die nicht für das Programm des Filmfestivals della AWARD 2023 nominiert wurden, werden gelöscht bzw. vernichtet. Eine Rückgabe ist ausgeschlossen.
14. Die Überreichung eines Preises erfolgt ausschließlich persönlich im Zuge des della AWARD 2023. Sollte die Person verhindert sein, kann eine andere Person den Preis in Auftrag entgegen nehmen, sofern dies vorher mitgeteilt wurde. Ein Versenden der Preise wird nicht vorgenommen.
15. Über alle in diesem Reglement nicht enthaltenen Fragen entscheidet die Festivalleitung.
16. Der Rechtsweg ist ausgeschlossen.

3. Untertitel in separatem SRT Format
4. Inhaltsangabe des Films mit kompletter Stab- und Darstellerliste
5. Vollständige Filmo- und Biografie des/der Regisseur:in
6. Aktuelles Foto des/der Regisseur:in
7. Eine Auswahl von mindestens 3 Fotos aus dem Film
8. Ein Film-/Kinoplakat in A1 Format und einer entsprechenden Datei
WICHTIG:
Wir freuen uns auf Filme außer des Wettbewerbs, diese können unabhängig von dem Jahr der Produktion und den Bewerbungsbedingungen eingereicht werden.
