IFF is a community-focused experience held in late June at the Open Media Foundation in the heart of Denver’s Santa Fe Arts District. Our absolute desire is to engender a festive atmosphere where both filmmakers and the film-viewing public can connect, communicate, and have a remarkable time.

As actors and filmmakers who have chosen to live in Colorado, we are inspired to highlight the extraordinary skills of local writers, producers, filmmakers, and artistic talent while attracting first-rate storytellers from all over the world. The very best of their film submissions are selected by a team of experienced judges and screened during the Festival.

Awards vary to some extent each year. The following is a representative list.
Juried: Animation, Art-Experimental, Art-Experimental - Colorado Filmmaker, Documentary - Short, Documentary, Feature, Horror, Music Video, Science Fiction, Short, Short - Colorado Filmmaker, Student/Young Filmmaker, Webisode.
Audience Favorites: Animation, Art-Experimental, Documentary-Short, Documentary, Feature, Horror, Music Video, Student/Young Filmmaker, Science Fiction, Short.

Awesome fest! I just moved to Denver and this was a great welcome to the city. Got to see great films and meet their makers as well.

We were very happy that FALLING SOUTH was programmed in Intendence Film Festival. Our lead actor grew up in Denver and we had a pile of friends and family hoping to see the film. Festival director is working hard to put on a worthwhile event for audiences and filmmakers. Clear communication. Thank You Intendence!

Thank you Lorraine. Your group was a hoot and for the most part, well-behaved. ;-) Hope you can make it out one of these years.
