Filming Eve Multicultural & Intersectional /NY Screenings To All (FEMINYSTA) is a four-day showcase and award event dedicated to women in film, whether directed by or about women, from May 16 to June 6, 2020, at the screening room of the famous, cozy Halyards Bar in Brooklyn, NYC, where a community of independent, feminist artists meet. Film screenings are followed by a discussion with other FEMINYSTA participants and moviegoers at a space where people may eat and drink all night long if they want. There is no ticket pricing - we only pass the hat for your generous donation so that we can keep doing this.

Four feature length films and 4-6 short films (depending on runtime) will be selected by a panel of professional filmmakers, screenwriters and producers to be screened. All selected filmmakers for shorts will get a diploma. Selected feature movies will be recognized with a diploma and a review on the virtues of their movie, which will be published in our website. All our participants’ films are cheered and loved, but the MOST BELOVED FEATURE LENGTH MOVIE will receive a piece of art donated by a Latin American artist, a diploma and a review.
Most of all, FEMINYSTA is an opportunity for filmmakers across the world to show their work and reach other directors, actors, writers and moviegoers.
