Saigon Experimental Film Festival V is looking for submissions for our new edition.
Our goal is to generate interest in experimental cinema and video art in Saigon and across Vietnam.

Genre focus: experimental, abstract, video art, documentary.
Length: under 15 minutes
Prefer films made between 2016-2023.
If your film has *any* dialogue, subtitles in English is a requirement.

*Submissions without subtitles will be considered incomplete*

Submission deadline: August 1st 2023
Announcement of results: September 1st 2023
Screening date: December 2023-January 2024 (TBC)
Screening location(s): Location: various locations across Vietnam (TBC)

Liên hoan Phim Saigon Experimental mời bạn nộp tác phẩm cho phiên bản thứ 5 lần này của chúng tôi. Mục tiêu của chúng tôi là để đẩy mạnh sự quan tâm đối với phim thể nghiệm và video art ở Sài Gòn và mọi miền đất nước.

Hãy gửi cho chúng tôi các phim ngắn với yêu cầu như sau:

Rules & Terms

Terms and Condition:

+ All films with dialogue must have ENGLISH subtitles
+ All accepted films must provide downloadable MP4 file
+ $3.50 USD submission fee for international submissions
+ Filmmakers from SEA do not have to pay a submission fee (discount code supplied upon contact).
+ A submission does not guarantee a screening
+ OK if your film has been screened before
+ Accepted film will be shown at a private screening - across various locations - hosted by Saigon Experimental Film Collective
+ Screening date(s) subject to change of date and/or venue
+ Saigon Experimental may use clips and/or stills from accepted film for promotion via social media/website
+ Multiple entries are permissible, but each entry must be accompanied by a separate Entry and fee.

    The programming is amazing--truly cutting edge moving image art that mixes animation with experimental narrative. Many festivals call themselves "experimental" but just stack their program with ho-hum technical experiments, but not SEFF! Thanks for supporting my work and doing the promotions (love the trailers and social media stuff!). Can't say enough great things about the programming and vision of this festival. THANK YOU!
