This is 11th edition of BEFF - Babul EFF, the first and only International Environmental Film Festival in Hyderabad and south India!
The festival is hosted in multiple locations across Hyderabad, India followed by screenings in different cities. To ensure better connect with audience and leverage mileage nationally and internationally, the festival is held every year during first week of June to coincide with World Environment Day. Hyderabad is capital of Telangana state and known as City of Pearls and Biryani, is a major film making and IT hub and has many world class studios including the world's largest Ramoji Film City. Screening your film at BABUL BEFF will ensure your film's reach to a quality and diverse audience & opens the doors for networking with the best of talent in film-making.
There will be Seminars / Panel Discussions / Master Classes / Eco Games and activities etc., Our hashtags are #babulecofilmfestival and for the 10th edition #beff2026
While we hold a live physical event, however, the festival holds the right to convert to online virtual festival.
The festival will have follow up screenings to ensure better mileage for the films and also travels to other cities in India. Films that fit into thematic niche audience find less acceptance from general public. We will screen such films for relevant audiences by coordinating with Individual groups / organisations connected to such themes. These screenings go beyond the announced time window as per original festival dates. We will be screening the selected films on regular basis without waiting for the final notification. Please note this. This is because we are receiving many films which deserve better outreach. Towards this end, we will be updating selection status in filmfreeway and show the selected films in our upcoming screenings.
We will make extra efforts for the films that cater to niche audience rather than the general public (scientific community, theme based audience - students of oceanography etc.,) by finding them suitable audience. However, this may take some time and we request such filmmakers to bear with us.
