tilde is back for 2024!

Established in 2014, tilde is a community-led, international film festival based in Melbourne, and one of only a handful of trans and gender diverse (TGD) film festivals in the world. Our Mission is to foster TGD culture and storytelling as a strong, vibrant and contemporary cultural platform in Australia and beyond. Our festival includes panels, networking sessions, community parties and special Multi-disciplinary performances.

We are looking for exceptional films that will increase the visibility and celebration of TGD stories that speaks to the multiplicity of our experience. We prioritise films that are directed, written, or produced by TGD people. We welcome films of all genres, lengths and styles, but are particularly interested in feature-length fiction. We are also particularly interested in Australian films and films by BIPOC filmmakers. Submission requires a $10AUD fee.
