RULES & REGULATIONS FOR SUBMISSION TO THE 2024 SATURNIA FILM FESTIVAL
The cultural association “Aradia Production”, organize the SEVENTH EDITION of SATURNIA FILM FESTIVAL dedicated to the discovery of the best short films from around the world.
Projects submitted for consideration for the Saturnia Film Festival may apply in one of submission categories: Fiction, Animation, Documentary, The most prestigious award is Premio Miglior Regia ( Best Directing). In order to qualify, short films must have a maximum lenght 15 minutes, including credits.
* The Artistic Commission reserves the right to evaluate and admit works of longer duration allowed by the regulation.
* The competition is open to ITALIAN FILM FIRST AND SECOND WORKS, 3 FREE-themed FICTION WORKS will be selected that stood out in 2023.

OUR MISSION
The Saturnia Film Festival seeks to discover, support, and inspire independent film and theatre artists from around the world and to introduce audiences (members of the industry and film lovers) to their new work. The Artistic Commettee of the Saturnia Film Festival will consider projects that tell stories about universal themes driven by an individual and authentic voice.
ART. 2
DATE AND DURATION OF THE FESTIVAL
The Saturnia Film Festival takes place for five days, 30 July - 4 August 2024 in the square of Manciano, Saturnia, Rocchette di Fazio, Montemerano, and Terme di Saturnia (Grosseto, Italy).
ART. 3
INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF SHORT FILMS
The Festival presents the best works, selected by the Artistic Commettee, in the following submission categories:
▪️Fiction
▪️Animation
▪️Documentary
▪️Art Short
▪️Feature Italian Film First or Second Work
All directors selected will compete against one another for the most prestigious award: for Best Directing.
ART. 4
AWARDS
1. The Artistic Commettee of The Saturnia Film Festival reserves the sole and exclusive right to determine eligibility of any film.
2. Short films submitting to The Festival (in the categories of Fiction, Animation, Documentary) must have been completed after January 1, 2023.
3. The Direction of The Saturnia Film Festival will choose a Jury industry members (including film producers), that will award the following awards:

▪️ Best Fiction International
▪️Best Animation
▪️ Best" Woman Film"
▪️ Audience Award

SUBMISSION RULES AND REGULATIONS
In order to be considered by The Saturnia Film Festival, the applicant must send his or her work via by this platform no later than April 30, 2024.
Submissions to The Festival are open to short films of any genre applying in one of submission categories of The Festival. The Saturnia Film Festival does not require any premiere status.
If the original language of dialogue or text featured in the film is not Italian, the preview and screening copy must be subtitled in Italian or English.
The submission fee to enter the films to The Saturnia Film Festival is 15€, for the viewing and administration of the submission process. More information available at the official Saturnia Film Festival website: www.saturniafilmfestival.it
ART. 6
SELECTION PROCESS
1. Successful entrants will be notified of their inclusion in The Festival by May 15 2024.
2. For the projects considered finalists the film owner will be asked to supply promotional material of the film (scene pictures, director’s bio, credits, trailer, info etc.). The film owner will provide all the requested material by The Saturnia Film Festival organization.
3. A copy of the short film and all the material requested must be sent via wetransfer no later than May 30, 2023.
4. All the material (video and/or promotional material) sent to The Saturnia Film Festival will not be returned.
ART. 7
FESTIVAL PROGRAMME
1. The final selection of all films presented at The Festival and their placement in the programme is the responsibility of The Festival organization.
2. If the short film original language is not Italian, it will be shown with Italian subtitles.
3. Italian subtitles will be provided by The Festival organization. Producers of the selected films must provide English script not later than May 30, 2024, to enable The Festival to translate and insert on-screen Italian subtitles.
4. The Festival can publish, for promotional purposes, an online and/or printed catalogue with all the presented and/or selected works.

The films will also be screened in streaming only from Italy from the MyMovies platform of Cinema La Compagnia di Firenze, for a single evening still to be agreed.
ART. 9
GENERAL RULES
1. These Rules&Regulations are written in Italian and have been translated into English. In the event of disagreement concerning the interpretation of the regulations, the Italian version will take precedence. The Direction of The Saturnia Film Festival can rule over any matters not covered by these regulations. For any legal dispute, the only competent forum is the Court of Grosseto.
REGOLAMENTO SATURNIA FILM FESTIVAL 2024
L’Associazione Culturale Aradia Productions organizza la SETTIMA EDIZIONE DEL SATURNIA FILM FESTIVAL dedicato ad una scelta dei migliori cortometraggi provenienti da tutto il mondo. L’evento è composto da tre sezioni competitive: fiction, animazione, documentario e il riconoscimento principale è il Premio per la Miglior Regia. Le opere devono essere film brevi, la cui durata non dovrà superare i 15 minuti, titoli inclusi.
*La Commissione Artistica si riserva di valutare e ammettere in concorso opere di minutaggio superiore ammesso dal regolamento.
* Da questa edizione il concorso è aperto ai LUNGOMETRAGGI OPERE PRIME E SECONDE ITALIANE, verranno selezionate 3 OPERE del genere FICTION a tema libero che si sono contraddistinte nel 2023.
ART. 1
MISSION
Il Saturnia Film Festival si propone come punto di riferimento tra i cineasti internazionali emergenti e il pubblico (composto da professionisti e appassionati di cinema). L’attenzione della Commissione Artistica del festival, sarà orientata nel selezionare opere che affrontino tematiche universali in maniera personale ed autentica.
ART. 2
DATA E DURATA DELLA MANIFESTAZIONE
Il Saturnia Film Festival si svolgerà dal 31 Luglio al 4 Agosto 2024, per la durata di cinque giorni, nelle Piazze di Manciano, Saturnia, Rocchette di Fazio, Montemerano e le Terme di Saturnia (Grosseto, ITALIA).
ART. 3
FESTIVAL INTERNAZIONALE DEL CORTOMETRAGGIO
Il Festival propone i migliori lavori selezionati dalla Commissione Artistica nelle tre sezioni:
▪️Fiction
▪️Animazione
▪️Documentario
Tutti i registi finalisti, concorreranno per il riconoscimento principale del festival: Premio per la Miglior Regia.
*Il concorso è aperto ai LUNGOMETRAGGI OPERE PRIME E SECONDE ITALIANE, verranno selezionate 3 OPERE del genere FICTION a tema libero che si sono contraddistinte nel 2023.
* Il concorso è aperto anche per le sezioni Art Short School Film.
ART. 4
PREMI
1. La selezione dei film avviene a cura e giudizio insindacabile della Commissione Artistica del Festival.
2. Possono partecipare al Concorso cortometraggi di finzione, di animazione e documentari terminati dopo il 1 gennaio 2023.
3. La direzione del Festival nominerà una Giuria composta da professionisti del settore (tra i quali produttori cinematografici), che assegnerà i seguenti premi:

▪️Premio Miglior Cortometraggio Sceneggiatura Tullio Pinelli
▪️Premio Miglior Cortometraggio Fiction Italiana
▪️Premio Miglior Cortometraggio Fiction internazionale
▪️Premio Miglior Cortometraggio Animazione
▪️Premio Donne nel Cinema
▪️Premio del pubblico

*Premio Miglior Virtual Reality film
ART. 5
ISCRIZIONI
Le iscrizioni per la partecipazione al Saturnia Film Festival, dovranno essere effettuate attraverso invio telematico, tramite la piattaforma entro e non oltre il 30 Aprile 2024.
Potranno partecipare film a tematica libera e secondo i generi previsti dal regolamento. Non è richiesta nessuna Premiere per i film.
Per la selezione, i film in lingua non italiana, dovranno essere sottotitoli in inglese o italiano per la visione della Commissione Artistica.
L’iscrizione al festival ha un costo di 15,00 Euro, valido per le spese di segreteria. Per maggiori informazioni consultare il sito internet ufficiale del festival www.saturniafilmfestival.it
ART.6
FILM SELEZIONATI
1. I registi selezionati saranno avvisati entro il 15 Maggio 2024.
2. Per le opere considerate finaliste, la segreteria del festival si occuperà di raccogliere materiale promozionale dei film (foto di scena, biografia del regista, credits, trailer, info tecniche, ecc.). I responsabili dei film si impegnano a fornire tutto il materiale richiesto dall’Organizzazione del Festival.
3. La copia dei film selezionati per la proiezione e i materiali richiesti, dovranno essere inviati tramite file wetransfer entro e non oltre il 30 Maggio 2024.
4. Il materiale video e promozionale inviato alla organizzazione del festival non verrà restituito.
ART.7
PROIEZIONI
1. Il programma del Saturnia Film Festival e gli orari di programmazione dei film selezionati, sono di competenza della Organizzazione del Festival.
2. I film in lingua non italiana, saranno proiettati in lingua originale con i sottotitoli in italiano.
3. I sottotitoli in italiano saranno curati dalla Organizzazione del Festival. La produzione dei film selezionati dovrà fornire la lista dei dialoghi del film, in lingua inglese entro e non oltre il 30 Maggio 2024, per permettere alla Organizzazione di poter lavorare alla traduzione e all'inserimento dei sottotitoli nel film.
4. L’Organizzazione del Festival, può pubblicare un catalogo a scopo promozionale dell’evento, con tutte le opere presentate e/o selezionate.
ART.8
I Film saranno proiettati anche in streaming solo dall'Italia dalla Piattaforma MyMovies di Cinema La Compagnia di Firenze, per una sola serata ancora da concordare.
ART.9
NORME GENERALI
1. Il presente regolamento è redatto in italiano e inglese. In caso di problemi interpretativi, fa fede la versione italiana. La direzione del Festival può prendere decisioni relative a questioni non previste dal presente regolamento. Per ogni eventuale controversia è competente il Foro di Grosseto.
