We are very excited to announce the 3rd annual Palm Springs International Comedy Festival in the vacation home to the stars, Palm Springs, California. We couldn't think of a more appropriate place than the world-famous Downtown Strip of Palm Springs to start off what will be a huge yearly event in this first-class, vacation destination resort! Palm Springs has long been a celebrity playground to the rich and famous since the golden era of Hollywood where the biggest celebrities and comedians come to perform every year. We will kick off the festival with our star-studded Comedy Dinner Gala honoring the biggest and best names in Comedy. The festival will have competition categories in Stand-up, Improv, Sketch, Feature Film, Short Film, TV Pilot, Web Series, Animation, and Music Video. There will also be competitions for Kids and Students. We have very prestigious and accomplished industry judges who have won or been nominated for awards such as Golden Globes and Emmy's and will be adding more celebrity names to the panel and event in the coming months so join the mailing list for up-to-date info. This event will be highly promoted in Social and General Media. We are honored to have Actress/Producer/Activist Kat Kramer and Actress/Producer/Philanthropist Karen Sharpe Kramer, the family of the legendary Oscar Award winning Director/Producer/Writer Stanley Kramer, the most nominated person in the history of the Oscars. They will be handing out the Stanley Kramer Award for Best in Comedy Directing. Stanley Kramer directed many iconic, award-winning films including the blockbuster, star-studded comedy 'It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World,' which is so fitting as it was filmed largely in the Palm Springs area and the Kramer family has a long history of living and playing in Palm Springs. The Stanley Kramer Award is a very prestigious award only given to the best in the entertainment industry through legitimate award ceremonies. The most recent artist to receive a Stanley Kramer award is comedian Jordan Peele for which he was honored by the Kramer family at the last Producers Guild Awards and went on to win the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. We are looking for the best in all areas of comedy to introduce to the industry and are excited to see your submissions. This is an international Comedy Festival and we are welcoming submissions from all over the world.

We are very, very committed to discovering the next big thing in Comedy in every category represented in our Festival. Our goal is to find those talents and help present them to the industry.

We are giving awards for all categories and all winners will receive major publicity for up to a year to help launch or further promote their career. Some winners may also receive cash prizes.

For a full listing of rules please see our website www.psicf.org for complete details in each category.
