This year, University of Pittsburgh Television (UPTV) is holding its fourth annual student short film festival. The goal of this festival is to cultivate a city-wide student filmmaking community and to celebrate the feat of completing a short film. Submissions to Pitt Film Fest are free and open to any student filmmaker in the city of Pittsburgh. The festival will take place on April 12th—bring your friends and family to the Frick Fine Arts Auditorium.

Following the screenings there will be a reception with refreshments. This will give young filmmakers the opportunity to network with other attendees and build a city-wide filmmaking community.

Winners will have their film screened with a Hollywood professional, to then privately discuss and workshop the film over Skype!

In addition to industry advice, winners will also receive merchandise and hardware.
