I was very much looking forward to learn more about the festival as my short screenplay 'Holiday' was in the Official Selection for this year's Shepperton Screenwriting Festival event. I wonder what happened with this event that was supposed to be on January 25th. I have not received any info, communication or any updates since then, despite me contacting the festival twice. I hope everything is okay with the team.

Update about my experience with this festival: I've never received any explanation as to why my short screenplay 'Holiday' was an Official Selection on December 30th, 2022, but then later the festival changed it so I received a totally different notification, and out of the blue, on April 10th, 2023 saying my screenplay 'Holiday' has been selected as a Quarter Finalist.

I raised the issue with FilmFreeway Support Team. I was informed that somebody behind the Shepperton Screenplay Festival named Sherice was going to contact me and explain what was the reason for the sudden change, but I never heard from her or anyone else from the festival.

It's been a disappointing experience. I wouldn't recommend this festival to anyone who take seriously their work. Just be careful with your submission and your money.
