Designed to build bridges, entertain, and create dialogue, the Festival offers a universal medium through which Jewish history, traditions, political viewpoints, the arts, and personal relationships can all be viewed with the goal of experiencing life from another angle.

The 2024 Twin Cities Jewish Film Festival will offer multiple screenings throughout the year to celebrate 30 years as a festival. This year, we invite shorts submissions ONLY, for pairing with feature films between April and September, and a summer shorts mini-fest.

The 2024 Twin Cities Jewish Film Festival will offer audience awards for Best Shorts in various categories, TBA.

For the film to be considered, it must have Jewish content: themes, culture, history or include a Jewish character. The film must have been completed on or after January 1, 2021.

Preferential treatment is given to films with less availability to the general public, VOD, or streaming.

Attention is paid to artistic qualities: storytelling, cinematography, merit.

In the 2024 festival, ONLY SHORTS (40 min or less) will be considered, with preference for under 20 minutes.

If the film is not in English, it must have English subtitles.

Films can be screened virtually and/or in a venue (in-person).

Please include a notation in the film’s description which indicates the Jewish content.

Fee waiver: a limited number of waiver codes are available for students and others for whom cost is prohibitive. Please email rivs@minnesotajcc.org in order to be considered for a waiver of the submission fee. **You must include a description of your film and its Jewish content to be considered.**

They were very accommodating and wonderful to work with. Of course, it was during COVID and a virtual event so hard to compare on all aspects, but we were very pleased. Even after the event, they followed up with us.

It was my great honor to have LOST IN BERLIN screen at this festival. The communication from the coordinator, Robyn was indulgent, sincere and supportive in every way. The Q & A interview was professionally planned and executed. The film received almost 900 unique views in this virtual festival and I am getting responses and inquires on a daily basis as a result of this festival. I recommend it highly.
