Beyond the competitions, a broad special programme deals with a thematic focus and a country focus. These are complemented by retrospectives, lectures, exhibitions and workshops.

What a beautiful festival - well organised, well curated by wonderful people who live for making that festival happen. We couldn't have found a better place to have the premiere of our film "Mrs. Fleischer wants to die!" Thank you so much for having us!

This was probably the most joyful and welcoming experience I've ever had as an author at any festival. It's been a few months and it still makes me smile whenever I look back on it. It's clearly a passion project, and they just know how to make a great festival - Gabriel, Amrei, Greta and all the others. If you're wondering whether you should send you film there, stop wondering and just go ahead and do it. It's 100% worth it.
