Come find out why filmmakers love the Interurban Film Festival. The IFF is hosted in critically acclaimed venues in North Texas. Located about one hour north of Dallas allows for easy access to DFW International Airport. Parties, hangouts, and round tables are sure to make the weekend a can-not miss event for participants.

This year will mark the first year for the IFF to partner with the Denison Arts Council making the film festival part of an ongoing arts festival.

Trophies include the coveted spyglass representative of the logo.

GENERAL RULES

It is encouraged but not required that all screenplays/movies should be copyrighted/registered with the Writers Guild of America or the Library of Congress.

A budget summary should be included for films to verify that the project meets the category budget requirements. Films with a budget under $1 Million will be eligible for all awards except the Best Studio Award. Films with a budget less than $100k will be eligible for Best Overall Small Budget Award. Films with a budget between $100k and $1 Million will be eligible for Best Overall Large Budget Award. Films with a budget greater than $1 Million will only be eligible for the Best Studio Award.

The festival is under no obligation to provide airfare, accommodations or other expenses incurred to attend the festival.

Accepted Filmmakers attending the festival will be granted 2 VIP Festival Passes. Additional passes may be purchased for crew, cast or special guest.

All entries must come with the non-refundable entry fee and online screener via FilmFreeway.

The screening selections are at the sole discretion of the festival judges, directors, programmers, all decisions are final. Exhibition copies (for accepted films) will only be accepted as a digital (downloadable) file (.MOV / .MP4 / .AVI / Other--Please contact before you send).

The festival does NOT grant fee waivers.
Non-English projects must have English subtitles or be dubbed in English.

All films selected for screening will have film information, social media links, provided images and available trailers posted on the festival website prior to the festival and will remain on the website after the festival. We do not post your actual film to our website.

All accepted films are required to submit a press kit, either electronic or paper. Postcards, fliers are to be sent in hard copy to the festival headquarters. Poster graphics must be emailed in time for a web listing and for program schedules.

All participants are encouraged to engage in "Shameless Self-Promotions" by any means necessary to help build an audience for their screening. Accepted films will be requested to have a Skype/in-person interview with a festival coordinator for promotional purposes.

The Film Festival DOES NOT provide feedback of any type on submitted films.

All films are encouraged to send their weblinks for trailers (vimeo, youtube, and facebook) for promotional purposes.

Award winners not present to receive their award will pay for shipping and handling, unless they were in attendance prior to the ceremony and left prior to it.

Those who want duplicate awards or awards certificates for their filmmaking partners, producers, cast or crew may order and pre-pay for duplicates, plus shipping and handling.

Submitting parties MUST have copyright clearances for all materials contained within their film.

    I had a blast at last years Interurban Film Festival. It's a neat town that has a true love for the arts. The after parties were great. And the people who run the festival were nice and friendly. And the theater was incredible.
