I was honored to have my documentary, A Rising Tide, included in the line-up. It was also disappointing that I couldn't attend. I look forward to hearing how the screening of a California film on the homelessness of Black children and families here, played in New York. Thank you for selecting us.

This festival is the best kept secret in New York! The promotional opportunities are the best I have seen yet and the networking is beyond anything I could have hoped for. AAWIC is definitely worth the festival fee and should be on Movie Maker's top 25 Film Festivals That Are Worth The Entry Fee list. You get your money back tenfold in networking, connections, inclusion, warmth and visibility. Your film will receive the boost it needs to make it over the finish line

African American Women in Cinema (AAWIC) virtual film festival was fantastic! Warm , inclusive, and welcoming. The festival offered an important space - recognizing the diaspora, alternative voices and is genre friendly. Thank you for including "InVade" in this year's program!
