The MIA Film Festival (#MiaFF) is an underground festival based out of Miami, Florida that features films and screenplays of all length and genres worldwide. #MiaFF is unique from the rest because it’s an underground festival that expands the capability of networking with other filmmakers and showcasing films in one location fora week in November. Furthermore, we encourage filmmakers that have been denied entry in other festivals, not for lack of quality, but because they weren’t given a fair shot. We promise to view all the films and critique them correctly. How many filmmakers get denial letters with no explanation? Thousands, if not in the millions. At #MiaFF we will provide you with constructive feedback for you to go out next time knowing what you did wrong.

The Goal:

The goal is to have filmmakers, potential investors and moviegoers all in one venue. The 9 day event takes place in Miami's first and only winery. A boutique underground winery that fits well behind the MiaFF concept. #MiaFF is the only festival in Miami that truly bridges films and screenplays from all walks of life that deserve to be supported and recognized. We honor filmmakers who put there heart and soul into the creation of art, regardless of sexuality, ethnicity, religion or political views. We strive to be the festival of choice for filmmakers to connect and network with artists around the globe.

The Mission:

Miami Indie Artist Film Festival #MiaFF is actively seeking to introduce the work of risk-taking storytellers and filmmakers. Founded in 2014, in Miami Florida USA. The concept behind the MIA Film Festival is to give chances to artists that have been denied the opportunity to showcase their talents in other film festivals. We encourage all to explore their minds free from commercial and political pressures. Throughout the year, we challenge ourselves to discover and develop independent artists and audiences. We are a platform for artists to present their works to a global audiences. The new MIA Film Festival, in Miami Florida, is dedicated to cultivate independent artists and audiences. Our mission, through its programs, seeks to discover, support, and inspire past, present and future independent filmmakers and theatre artists from the United States and around the world, and to bridge audiences to their new work.
