Hong Kong Script and Film Festival, one of the world's coolest film festivals is looking for the best films from around the planet.

We will accept feature-length dramas, shorts, documentaries, and animated films and videos.

The Hong Kong Script and Film Festival organises industry seminars with a wide range of topics, from sessions aimed at young film-makers to very technically focused seminars run by Sony and Canon.

Rules & Terms

1. Submissions in other than English or Chinese must be subtitled.

2. Multiple entries are allowed from a filmmaker and each entry may be entered in multiple categories.

3. Online screeners preferred. If you choose not to upload your project to FilmFreeway’s site, please provide an online link to your submission and be sure to include the password in an email correspondence sent directly to us. Don't send us anything by post.

4. Film Festival does not download data or accept Dropbox submissions. Please only send links to your media hosted on 3rd party servers such as Vimeo or YouTube.

5. Written comments describing entries are beneficial.

6. DVD Entries will not be accepted.

    On behalf of CESO ENTERPRISES, INC., Alyssa Dann, Chris Oledude, and all of our production participants, I would like to compliment the organizers and operators of Hong Kong Script and Film Festival. When we created our first music video (which was long enough to be a short film), we knew nothing about film festivals. With the help of FilmFreeway, we started researching. The categories were good. Everyone who contacted us on behalf of this festival was helpful. The submissions looked excellent.

    It was indeed exciting to discover this new world and to be so warmly welcomed by the inhabitants! To have GEORGE FLOYD: SAY THEIR NAMES selected for inclusion was an honor in and of itself.

    We were happy to “get the word out” and continue motivating people worldwide to consider the injustices embedded within our nation’s criminal justice system. After all, situations where a powerful segment of the population uses its law enforcement apparatus to abuse and oppress other segments of the population are recognizable in and common too many societies.
    We recommend submitting your work and we certainly intend to participate again in the future.
