This is the 10th year running on Anglesey and we are welcoming films from anywhere in the world. We would obviously like to understand your film, so please subtitle them if they are not in English.
We screen the competition films via live link up so you can watch from home the unfolding of the days events.
All that we require is that you mention the "Sea" via dialogue or visually, with a timecode reference to where you feature "the Sea" or we cannot accept your entry.
I do not offer fee waivers, we are run by volunteers and so the entry fee pays for our venue.
We will NOT watch your film if you do not mark the TIMECODE where you mention the "SEA" in your SYNOPSIS. Please.

Judges yet to be confirmed (normally industry folks) will choose the finalists of each category at the public screening in the cinema on Saturday 21st October, then have another screening of the winners, on the following day Sunday 22nd 2023. We do hope you can join us.

  • I grew up by the sea, to have a film festival devoted to it is such a great concept and a it is such a fabulous festival. We were absolutely thrilled to have won our best in category for our film 'The Fishman Of Tenby'. We hope to 'sea' you again next year! (apologies for the pun!).

This film festival is very special. I recently discovered their presence on Instagram and decided to follow and send a short enquiry text. Knowing from experience that the guidelines of the festival are exclusively films that feature a sea, I wondered if there would be any point in submitting a short experimental poem film that featured a confluence of 2 rivers. To my surprise the curator of the festival responded, and not promising much it was up to me to take a chance and submit it. I did and was ready for my film not to be selected.

Sometime before the date of notification I was notified that my film was selected together with a wonderful appreciation note from her - I was very touched.

I thought that was it but 2 days ago got another personal note from Angharad that my film "ZION WALKS WITH ME" won Best Arist Film. I was literally welling up with gratitude especially as the concept of the film was quite metaphysically metaphorical, I felt my film was understood and appreciated. Thank you very much for your kindness and artistic discernment 🙏

We were very honoured to have been selected and have won a prize at this wonderful festival.
We were very sad we couldn't make it in person, but the team was always very communicative and helpful. We hope to make it there next year, as it is such a beautiful place!

I'm humbled that my film Whalefall was a finalist for the SeeMor Films Festival. It was an in-person event and I was unable to attend, but it looked like a great day with a fantastic line up. Communication with the fest was great beforehand.
